Mine has an inhale and an exhale and I bought it in person from this pretty cheap Japanese store called Daisao :p the chickens are traditionally popular during New year's Eve time, which is a really big thing in Japan, and that's when I got mine ^^

I feel bad for this guy my first chicken from many Christmas’s ago it naturally had an exhale and inhale noise

I got mine from Don Quijote in japan, and it has both inhate and exhale noise.

I have a chicken and a couple pigs that honk at every inhale and exhale. Got the chicken for like $6 off of Amazon and got the pigs from souvenir shops near beaches. They're all a band. 😂

Lol thanks for showing us how its done. I bought a chicken for me and my daughter and sqeezed it so hard trying to make different notes its squeaker broke. Both of my chickens did however make a noise on inhale and exhale out of the box, and i got them off amazon as well...just lucky I guess.

Actually, I've noticed that some of the players have already squeezed the "inhale" part of the chicken and they start by exhaling and inhaling at the other side or the back of the chicken.

Yes, I noticed that, too. The tone is probably controlled by the fingers and the air is controlled by the thumbs.

I thought the concert hall in the thumbnail looked familiar... that’s my school North Central College where I have my percussion lessons and percussion ensemble😂

My chicken was the bathroom pass for 7th graders. Somehow, someone managed to remove the squeaker and I was left with a mute chicken for our classroom *cue tears*. My new chicken (and a different batch of students) is no longer a bathroom pass.

With free tools : Audacity to record one inhale and one exhale sound. Polyphone to make a soundfount, it will pitch the sound automatocaly, let you set the loop start and stop keypress (long process but you have to do it once) Musescore, you import your custom soundfounts (inhale and exhale) and you can make partitions play them and export them in wave format Audacity agan to postprod

2024. I somehow got the chicken (I didn't buy it) 0:49 mine makes sound when you press. Too. 4:58 Mine has trouble making sound when pressed and released front. But it does make the sound when pressed and released from sides. (No modifications done)
