One cat we had to give her bathes bc she got so bad. The other cat would come inside filthy just to spend two days cleaning herself and go back out to do it all again 😅

My cute cat always rolls over and shows me her belly when she wants attention. Then she meows very softly and just looks up at me wit' her beautiful eyes. Gosh, how could somebody resist?

I know this is 2 yrs old, but my cat was hospitalized for 4 days with pancreatitis a few years ago. When I went to visit her, she wobbled on over to the door, gave me a nose nuzzle then went back to lay down, she was on heavy meds, so that took most of her strength, but once she got back to her bed, I did the slow blink, she did it back, then she laid down to sleep. ♥️

The only thing better than a cat is.....10 CATS....!!! 🐈 I couldn’t live without them....!❤️

My cat loves to go on walks outside, ride around on my shoulder and just be involved in the world. Understand body language has allowed me to communicate with him including the slow blink which is the way cats tell someone they love them. It is very rewarding when you slow blink to your cat and they return the action.

Our family got a cat when we first move to the Bronx. Hername was Imani. We had her since she was 9 weeks old when she became part of our family. She died this year at the age of18 years old and we. Had her cremated and put in an ern. We love Imani and miss her🐱💝💝💝💝💝

I've had my own kitty since I was 19 and am 51 now. Oscar, Ernie, Cousin Elrod, Clyde, Cecil, and Panther. The latter 3 are still with me, thank God. Unconditional love is where it's at!!

Because cats usually live at home in the confined conditions it is recommended to let them smell whatever new things you bring into your home or whatever you are handling at the time. It helps them to educate themselves about the environment around them.

Sometimes I have conversations with mine ^_^ He'll meow at me, and I'll try to mimic the tone of it right back, and we'll go back and forth for like a minute, then he usually let's out a short "brurrrr" . rubs up against me and that's it lol :3 Also amazed this video didn't mention it specifically but... yeah, Catnip. You have to be really careful not to give them too much or too often (it's basically crack to them lol) but it's a surefire way to reward good behaviour or get your kitty out of a funk. Laser pointers are also a hilarious, cheap and fun way to get them to exercise.

Just my 2¢, in addition to giving attention, cats seem to love verbal praise and compliments. They learn and respond to sounds just as toddlers and puppies do.

I have a long cat pillow by glass doors so they can lay in the winter sun. I have floor mats where the sun shines in from different windows around the house. This house I live in is very cold. I don’t have sufficient heating in the whole home. They also cuddle in bed with me when the house is too cold for me. They almost always choose to sleep in bed with me at night all year round. I love them very much.

Kerry, I have a cat also and I know how much they like the sunlight, those days when it it still to cold to open windows but not really needing the heat to come on I open the blinds all the way to let the sun shine in, and yes there he is basking in the sun on the floor. Cats all petty much look alike but are so different in personality, as far as the sleeping in bed thing they love us as much as we love them. So easy to fall asleep with that purring going on next to you.

If I get up at night for a snack I always give Koji something to eat in a small bowl. Maybe a teaspoon of chopped raw meat or a few cat chewy treats. Maybe a bit of cooked chicken. He chows down on it. Gives me a little meow then he goes back to bed. He’s only 6 months old but it’s a ritual that we developed together. I don’t remember how or why it happened but it’s part of our routine. And helping make our little guy happy makes me extremely happy and thankful for our time together. When our cat comes up next to me and falls asleep in my arms my stresses melt away.

When they said the cat needs to go to the vet I thought she said he needed to be a vet My cat is now a war veteran has PTSD and was awarded the Purple Heart

i love seeing my cat happy so much, it’s the only thing keeping me alive lol

My cat seems much happier now that I give her bottled water rather than the nasty tap city water. I mean if I dont drink it than why should she?

My kitty loves to drink cold bottled water out of the tiny water bottle cap, and prefers this over his water bowl or fountain. He will keep drinking from the cap as long as I keep refilling it. He’s my favorite little weirdo

Actually this video is rather helpful. It’s true and I have had cats all my life.

My cat absolutely will not drink standing water, to the point of becoming sickly. We noticed, however, that she had mastered the use of one of the sink faucets, and would stand meowing at the ones she couldn't manipulate. Now we just leave the tub faucet on for her at all times and she is so happy with being able to drink running water at her leisure. Sometimes people think we're insane for "running up the water bill just for an animal" but honestly the extra cost is about the cost of a Netflix subscription, if that. If we can rationalize dropping money on movies and TV shows, we can sure as hell find the extra money to make one of our beloved family members happy and healthy.

We got her one and she tore it apart in less than three days because she wanted to know where the water came from. So we got her a more expensive model that was supposed to be resistant to kitty shenanigans -- heavy ceramic bowl, tightly fitted working, etc. It lasted about three weeks. We decided fountains aren't worth the money if we have to keep buying a new one every month. Way less expensive to just leave the tub faucet running. And she really does love lying in the tub drinking. Sometimes she glares at us to close the shower curtain so she can enjoy her privacy. She knows what she likes and has us well-trained.

Yakieboi--You might be ascribing more malicious intent to your cats than they possess. Cats are pretty smart: You're their meal ticket, so they're not inclined to do that. Unless they know you're heavily insured; then they might do it for the accidental death payout. Have they watched the 1940 film, "Double Indemnity", recently?

Lastly, if you have an older cat who has stopped using its litter box, here's one thing to consider that we found out through a LOT of trial and error --- kitty might be developing nearly invisible-to-you arthritis or old-age stiffness, which can make climbing into a regular box quite painful. My kitty pooped and peed right outside of the box (arrghhh!) until we switched our approach and used the LID of a tupperware container box (instead of the deeper half of the box). It was about an inch deep which mean crumbs went everywhere, but LIKE MAGIC, Zsa Zsa started using the "litter box" immediately and her problem resolved completely.

I've got a 4 month female kitten & a 2 year old male cat. I just love them so so much. The kitten I adopted about 3 weeks ago & she's a wild one lol.

that was very nice, thank u. i have a 5 year old black female dom SH who was an indoor/outdoor cat that ive had to turn into an indoor-only cat due to a relocation. we also introduced a 50 pound shelter puppy to the home. she is starting to warm up to the puppy, meaning she is hissing less and can now be in the same room without turning defensive. i hope she knows i still love her and while the puppy takes alot of our time, we work hard to make sure she gets love, atrention, playtime and we clean her box everyday. shes good with being indoors, forrunately its a rather large home and she has plenty of hiding spots as well as the finished attic all to herself with lots of toys, food and water.

Yeah give em space. I used to devote a lot of time on my computer and my cat would slowly walk into my room and tap me on the arm when she was ready for lovin'.

The cay licking the husky in the beginning was adorable! I don't know what I'm actually here for. There's this cat. Not my cat, it's cat of someone I know. I saw her grow from a kitten to big strong mama with 4 kittens which one sadly passed away. I love cats and I prefer them. I have a current rescue who is the tenure old senior with no teeth. But she still has the beautiful spirit and wants me up and awake when she wants me. It's precious when she comes up then gently touches my face or licks my chin.

I have a feral cat. Kinda. It was abused when it was younger so I have to be very careful not to make any sudden movements or she freaks. She also is sensitive to yelling. If I'm ranting about a libtard or something I have to contain my anger so the cat remains calm. She's so cute. A stubby cat for sure. Short and compact. She's a good cat. I'm learning how to purr. ...lol... 🤓

They always say you should have 1 box per cat plus an extra, which I can imagine because cats can be finicky about where they potty. My 2 cats, however, share their litter boxes. Sometimes one will even use the same box right after the other went. Maybe they were used to sharing because at the shelter they were from the kittens were kept in one room together? They do have a 3rd box, but they don’t seem to be sure about it for some reason.

My cat prefers her box to outside. She will literally come in, go on her box, then go back out again sometimes. Sounds like your cats do that because they were together at the shelter, yes. Even if they're not from the same litter if they're together from early on they tend to bond very strongly.

We live in an apartment with our siamese Loki and our Siamese mix Kira... they have window and wall perches/playgrounds, cat trees, tents, scratching posts, tunnels and so so many toys (yes we don't care if people know we love our kitties) and by buying "wall art" type perches we keep some semblance of a human home 😂 but I think one of their favorites is actually the meat stick treats.. because they roll the cats play with it like a feral cat would play with their prey before they eat it. They pounce, jump and roll them and they go nuts as soon as they see the wrapper. I have been meaning to make some puzzles but haven't quite gotten there yet.

I have two tabby cats, one short and a little young one and a tall kinda old cat. They are both loved equally and get all the attention they want and deserve! One cat is Star and ones called Sky! Sky is the tiny one, Star is the tall one, Star and Sky love their chins getting scratched, it's very soft scratches if you know what I mean? Sky also loves her tail patted, Star is very moody but can be pretty affectionate, Sky is a little affectionate and they're both lazy cats lol! But they enjoy the outdoors a lot, Sleep+Outdoors= Equal love for both! Star is very fussy when it comes to eating, she prefers cat biscuits over cat meat which ig is okay, and they both love fresh water. Sky enjoys eating any type of food, and she also likes chicken!! 🤭 Sorry i talked so much about my cats I just wanted to talk loads about them in this cat video! 😍 (Edit: October 11th 2022) my cats also love to play with cat tunnels, other cats sometimes ig, cat mouse rods, and a ball of yarn, they love their cat tower very much and enjoy playing around, they even lick each other sometimes to bath 😀 they also like to have they're own comforting space and have time for themselves so of course I let them be, sometimes they love to use my hand as they're pillow and both love comfy blankets, jackets anything!

I took over my brothers cat he couldnt have him anymore after 6 yrs girlfriend wanted the cat out his so lovable his a ginger cat..i couldn't bare to see the cat go to a shelter something just told me take the cat and i must say his super lovable sweet and gives so much love.

I tried this on a girl, now she is my girlfriend.

My cat runs and hides if ANYONE come into my home and I let her. She only wants and trusts me and no one else. If she ever bugs me or does something I would rather not have her do all I have to do is HISS at her and she will stop. That's it and it works. Then in a few seconds she is back up next to me ready to cuddle and be sweet. Love it. 😺

Hey 👋 I feed a stray and now she has kittens! Can’t catch them! I changed the water and give fresh water and kitten food can and Dry food ! It’s so hot I thought about putting a baby pool out there so they can swim! What do u think?

Susan Robertson Keep giving them water and cat food. Do not put out a baby pool, Cats don’t generally like to get wet and if they do get wet, their temperature can drop and cause problems. They are usually a little warmer than a human temperature.

The Gladiator156. I took my (old) cat on a 5000 kms roadtrip. He wasn't happy the first days but he got used to it and slept on my bed while I was driving. He walked on a leash with me and enjoyed that beautiful and quiet nature. (I avoided busy places and dogs) At night when I wanted to sleep, he wanted to play in the camper. 😉 He's always been easy going with traveling. My other cat got sick in the car, even for a 2 km ride. Never took him with me for traveling. Only thing is that you never leave your cat in a car when temperatures can be dangerous. Not even when you park in the shadow. I took a small basket to carry him in the supermarkets. I camped in very quiet middle-of- nowhere-spots where he could enjoy the spot around the car on a leash. Also let the cat drink every (few) hour(s) because the car airco is dehydratating the throat, nose...

Disagree with your litter box statement. Litter is designed with a scent to make cats instinctively have to dispose of their waste. The type of litter box has nothing to do with it. A cat will feel the need to go as soon as the feet touch the litter. They then recognize the scent of litter at the same time. A normal cat does not care what type of litter box is used. I trained a kitten to go and the only thing I needed to do was set him in a cheap litter box once and he then kept coming back. The cat and I had a great relationship regardless of the litter box type or placement.

Same whit my 2 kittens, I just needed to show them once where was the WC for them and it was kinda automatic, they knew there was the place. And I just have 1 big box for both of them, they have never done anything out of the box

Well, not all cats are the same. That's where we all can agree on 😉 but usually from their "wild" evolutionary past cats prefer a Litter Box without any scent to not give away their position or a hint where to trace them to predators

A cat's happiness is priceless, especially on a birthday.

My cat kneads me and comes to say hello each time he comes in or I come in. He rubs his nose against my finger or when scooped up in my arms, he rubs his nose against mine. I truly don't understand people that claim that cats don't show their "owners" affection and love.

Jill Smith Take her to see a vet. My neighbor’s cat was coughing and sneezing and it turned out he had swallowed a 10cm/4” long blade of grass which had somehow made it up through his nasal passage. He had to be sedated to ensure it was fully removed. He’s more like himself now.

My cat sneezes all the time and we went to the vet and he was fine, not saying that your cat doesn’t have a cold but it could just be what my cat has.

It could also be hay-fever or allergies. Take her to the vet just to check, but you probably shouldn't worry too much.
