I drove stick solo for the first time in UK this year. It was a horrible idea but in hindsight I am glad I had that true experience. Hi mate thanks. If mine fails it’s something I might do one day! Chances are it is the wires on the screen themselves that are broken, seems like it’s not uncommon but check where it plugs in on left hand side to make sure it’s not come disconnected.

Mine’s the same. I think if the light comes on when you press the switch, but it doesn’t de-mist, then the heating element on the back window is buggered and they can’t be easily fixed. It’s probably easier to replace the rear window.

You used to be able to buy a "touch up paint style" pen that is a conductive paint to repair breaks in the wires on rear windows, As a kid I had to help clean my parents and grandparents cars, they always told me when cleaning heated screens you should follow the direction of the element, going across the wires would break them, I tell those "totally legally in the country guys" not to wipe my window in the wrong direction. 😇

@@B4AFX the problem is that you’re using the Bluetooth to connect to the obd scanner, unless there’s a scan lead that plugs into the usb port and Bluetooth can be freed up to connect to the stereo I’m not sure. There are aux Bluetooth adapters though I think. You can use a jack plug into the headphone socket which connects to the Bluetooth adapter, which is paired to the head unit maybe?

So does the sound come from the speakers? So like others can’t hear it? Outside the car?

Maybe with a bit of modification to the software, to go off speed and select a gear and rpm for each speed rather than just going off engine rpm like this one does

Yes mate. The phone is connected to the speakers through the six cable. The Bluetooth is to the obd and live data has a slight delay

Carley adapter probably doesn’t work with other apps. I just used the cheapest Bluetooth adapter on eBay

Unfortunately that’s the nature of the product. I had the same issue and suspect the car has a slight delay when outputting through live data. If that’s the case, there’s nothing the app can do about it 😔

At a guess, is the 'diagnostics' purely for the AzuredDental connection between phone and OBD2 thing? Also, there are some parts of the underlying tech here that are actually kinda surprising, like if it actually does read the throttle input and stuff, fair play. Unfortunately, the concept as a whole is... Flawed... Especially with the inherent BlueTooth latency.

Looking back on it I don’t think it does. It did seem to be quieter until you floored it but I think it was just that the revs hadn’t climbed fully. It’s just a silly gimmick but I thought it was pretty good, and there is even one thing it could be useful for is it might stop you speeding, cos the car sounds like it’s going twice as fast as it actually is haha

Samsung can fuck right off at the moment. Mrs has an S21 plus. Screen has failed, well known/well documented fault, black screen of death. Sent it off to them as it’s under warranty, won’t honour the warranty cos it’s got a little chip in the corner of the back cover! Completely unrelated to the actual fault, and the screen isn’t damaged at all. The chip has been there for about 18 month, but they’re just using it as an excuse not to pay for a new screen for the shitter 🤷‍♀️

@@StupidBlokeStupidVideos Yep, I'm sorry for your loss. Seen this kind of thing from Samsung over the years (ex gf's phones I was asked if I could fix) so will never touch them with a bargepole.

@@StupidBlokeStupidVideos hey I mean what ever floats your boat I personally like the 370z sound and the pagani only cuz sounds like it’s up shifting or downshifting don’t get much from the chainsaw but that’s my opinion
