Super helpful. One thing I noticed is that VoiceMeeter at default settings will create a stuttering effect to your voice. You can usually fix this by going into Menu > System Settings/Options > and changing the Buffering WDM on Out A2 to a higher value, you can experiment to see what value you need but anything from 640 to 1024 will usually solve it.

Used this on a Corsair Void Pro RGB and it worked like a charm. One of the many shortcomings of Corsair headsets is the lack of customization for the microphone. This was very helpful in allowing me to use the mic on the headset for streaming (which is the only choice I have atm). Thanks!!!

One thing I've noticed is a lot of times Voicemeeter needs to be restarted, even if the computer had done a full shutdown or reboot. What happens is in OBS the mic will be clipping and stuttering around in the recording. Restarting OBS and Voicemeeter solves the issue. And yes I do have voicemeeter start up before OBS, it starts up with windows.

so i've been trying to do this and i have it all set up but my bluesnow ball is picking up a lot of white noise...while i speak you hear the white noise but when i dont speak the voicemeeter does its job..my question is how do i get rid of that white noise? is it just a matter of getting a better mic???

you might need to turn down the gain in audacity, the gain level is located next to the audio playback volume and under the playback buttons. it has a little picture of a mic next to it. i would say turn it down to half if you are 5 inches away and 3 quarters down if your two inches away. hope i helped

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot I did that and it's taken most of the noise away. I think it's the wire cus I haven't been taking care of it tbh cus a while back the mic was making a screeching noise but turning down gain seems to help I might just edit out the remaining background noise when I stop talking. thanks for the help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for the tip, Whiskey. I've also noticed my mic picks up much more ambient noise since setting it up this way. I'll try to adjust the gain settings as you suggested and see if I can get better results. Thanks again.

The cable wont make a difference, because USB is digital. With digital datatransport you either have sound or completely no sound.

hello, i followed the instructions and got everything working fine. the audio seemed great at first, but about 2 hours into my stream, the audio started skipping (only my mic, everything else was fine) i rewatched the stream and it seemed to have happen out of nowhere. i fixed it by just using the snowball itself as the source instead of the VAC. what could’ve caused the issue and how would i go about fixing it in the future? thanks for the videos! (i use OBS)

Nothing you can do with the ice about that really, except maybe keep the gain down and get closer.. But that’s a shit remedy.

Attention! This software does make Snowball sound a alot better, but when I tried it out on some test recordings it has some delay compared to desktop audio source on OBS. I noticed it while singing on test recordings. I don't recommend to use this app while streaming, only if you record something afterwards!
