Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Turn trash into treasure by making your own plastic yarn, out of recycled plastic bags. We’ve teamed up with HotKnots for World Ocean’s Day to teach you how to make your own homemade plarn, ready to knit, crochet and weave.
Water covers 71% of the earth and 50% - 60% of our own bodies. It’s the most precious resource we have, providing 70% of the planet’s oxygen, but it's estimated that more than 10 million tons of plastic is dumped into our oceans every year.
Are you ready to craft a better future? This tutorial teaches you how to reuse and recycle those polluting plastics, by making clothing accessories, home accessories and decorations.

I did this with old T-shirts to make a plaited dog rope toy. He savaged it so it wasn't worth the effort but now I have no idea what to with the T-arn (I made that up)

Wouldn't it be simpler to just cut a spiral around the bag like the stripes of a barber pole and end up with straight ribbon? It's a lot simpler and you can make invisible splices to make your projects nicer. I find it is easier than the method you are using.

Absolutely! That's another great method, it might just be a little more difficult to keep the size of the strip consistent ❤

Awesome tutorial! It would be nice if you could also link all of Libby's social media, so we can all follow her as well! I love upcycling and recycling ideas which can be combined with my favorite craft!
