Wow thank you thank you thank you!! I’m sewing illiterate, I messed up sewing so much in my younger years and haven’t gotten the nerve to try again, but I’m a great crocheter. Why this never occurred to me I’ll never know, so thank you. I will use this method so much. I have paid someone to sew wefts and had to cut them how I wanted them. But this!! I am so very grateful.

This is so easy and helpful; I'm using this method on my first machine-sewn plush doll (plus I'm learning embroidery and embroidering a realistic face myself). This is gonna make the hair really simple to deal with.

You could trim the inside pages of your book if it's an old one your not bothered about so that you have a space to place your hook, that way you can wrap the yarn tight around the book. Great way of doing a wig for a doll, I will definitely be trying this technique thanks for sharing. 😘

thank you for showing how too make a wig using yarn, I tried this method yesterday ,i measured 5 inches, then i ted off, but when i took t off it the book it was a lot longer, do you have a tip on how too do the measurements correctly and thicker ,thank you xx
