They did came out nice, and when you start it's actually not that bad to make them. One suggestion tho if you got a bandsaw use it instead of the scroll saw as I did to split them :)

Anyone watching this can see how much trouble he had using the scroll saw to split the blanks, if you have a bandsaw DO NOT ATTEMPT TO USE IT

perfectly safe on a bandsaw unless you have a 5 year old bread knife for a blade. Simply carpet tape the blank to a square and straight edged piece of wood and slide it through. can get thin or thick slices depending on what you need. Only risk is if you dont have enough brain cells to realize you need a way to hold work like that.

Gorgeous -- as someone struggling right now with finish on wooden pendants...how much care will customers be expected to have to do with this type of finish? I tried a few others and found the skin oils, etc wore off the finish fairly quickly.

linda mcmillan hi and thank you for your comment. To be fair it won't need more care than any other type of jewellery. Silver and gold will also loose their shine over time. Clean cloth and a bit of wax will return the shine.

Use resin as a finish. It will protect the wood much better.

@@lindamcmillan6654 Linda, I’ve had people ask for no protective finish because they wanted the wood patina to change to reflect it’s use and environment. I’ve given it to them with an oil finish so it has some shine to it so it can wear like they want. They can choose to add oil if they want.

Dude, what are the tools called? And that polishing thing? It looked like you put some kind of red thing on it and then a yellow thing, but I don't know what any of this stuff is called. Also, can you say when you're shaping, sanding, polishing? Otherwise I have to guess what you're doing and what tools you're using for it.
