I have made a discovery! If you do not have a bag sealer use a hair straightener on the highest setting and baking paper! (You can find baking paper at the dollar store) Fold the baking paper in half. Insert the weft between the papers and clamp the edges in the straightener and you will get a lovely weft. I practically stole my mom's straightener for this😅 I have been making wefts for hours now!😳👌 it is so fast and great!

Of course! Sewing machines are evil goblins that eat wig fiber so I prefer not to use them HAHAHA

This is just what I needed. Gonna pull out my machine and try it out right now. So much nicer than sewn wefts! Thanks for sharing this brilliant method.

OMG YOU ARE AN ANGEL!!!!!!!!! I come from the days long ago where Katie Bair was the only person doing any sort of cosplay wig tutorials, and I never was able to follow her no-sew wefts by using silicone caulk. Like, luckily silicone caulk has a ton of uses so it wasn't a waste, but using an impulse sealer is going to save such a ridiculous amount of time that I could cry. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!

Yes it does! I just did it! Just be sure to have baking paper or waxed paper from the dollar store to put between the wefts and the iron so that the hair doesn't stick to the iron. So it should look like a sandwich of a paper for bread and hair for filling. If that makes sense

Hi. Cool method. I want to preserve my ponytail as it is seems to be falling apart in strands and wanted to turn them into wefts for more security. So is this method safe? For human hair and will it hold for long term i.e. years?

Yes, a hand sealer will work! But you can't use as much fiber and will have to make smaller wefts. I've never had an issue with the fibers melting onto the fabric strip, though the strip will discolor over time.

How to add clip-in extensions after that? Does sew will do it? Or it’s better to use hot glue?

This method looks so great!! Are the wefts flexible or do they feel stiff? I would like to use this method for parting, but I'm not sure if it's easily possible to blow-dry the fibres over the heat fixed edge...

If you heat the end enough, it will be flexible enough! You just need to use a hot enough setting, while also not melting the fibers off. If you don't use enough heat, the end will be brittle and break easily. Too much heat, and the end fibers will melt off.

The wig fibers are made of plastic, as all synthetic fibers are. The heat from the bag press melts the fibers. Think of it like being soldered together. Hope that explains it!

not sure if u already got the answer but the reason this works is synthetic hair is plastic + it melts it together, human hair is not plastic

This is for Synthetic hair fibres. Not human hair.

Which kind? I have fibers that were called kanekalon but they didn’t melt. I use this bag sealer for mushroom growing so I know it gets wicked hot. The hair I have barely even bent.
