Hi there and we're glad this video helped! Butyl cabitol can be bought from many chemical manufacturers under the generic name of Diethylene Glycol Monobutyl Ether. in the last video of butyl carbitol base for reed diffuser, the ratio of fragrance oil is 33%, how come this one is up to 50%, is it base on the fragrance oil and each is different ratio, thanks

Hi there and great question! The ratio at which you combine your carrier liquid and fragrance oil is up to you, but we wouldn’t use any more fragrance than a 50/50 ratio. Fragrance oils can be a little viscous, meaning they are a thicker, more slow moving liquid. As such, a concentration of more than 50% fragrance oil won’t provide the fragrance strength you’re probably looking for in a reed diffuser. Our ideal ratio is 34% fragrance oil to 66% carrier liquid; I find that this gives my reed diffusers a strong scent that diffuses evenly over time. I hope this helps!
