An easy way to animate recoil is to just twitch them back and forward a little bit, or place a small object under the front of the toy soldier to lift them up, hope this helps!

What I use depends on where I’m filming , if I’m filming indoors I’ll use a small ball of blutac , if im filming outside I’ll find some random small object to put under it

Sometimes if you take too many photos in a project it does start to lag, best thing to do is limit yourself to a certain amount of photos and then continue it on another project.

It all depends on what surface you are working on, if you’re filming on a table then you can use blutac, if you’re filming outside then you will have to dig the soldiers feet into the ground or hold him up with a stick and mask it out later

It is pretty hard to do but keep practicing and it will become easier, I felt the same way in the beginning:)

You can always use practical effects , for example you can use paper as muzzle flashes and explosions

Sad that gun fx needs to be bought
