How to make tow tune on LBZ with EFIlive

Diesel tuning can be really hard to get into! I hope this helps you with the beginning steps. this tune is not perfect but in the future I might make a "how to data log", so you can make your tunes perfect.

  • @robsdiesel2470

    @robsdiesel2470

    4 жыл бұрын

    Repoman2000 I have done a little bit. What size injectors are you looking for info on? As far as tuning them, the higher the fuel pressure the more they will flow. So a 100% over injector will not flow 100% more at idle. So you can keep the pulse width pretty close to stock at idle but the higher the fuel pressure the more they will need to be turned down to hold rail pressure or make desired power. The main factor that need to be taken into account when adjusting timing is rpm and injector on time. So turning injectors down a little you can run less timing. Hope that helps

    So the V3 replaces the V2. The V2 is what I use but I had to buy the Auto V2 for dodge and GM and I also bought the HD V2 for heavy duty Cummins. Now you can buy the V3 and it can do everything with one module just using dif cables. I don’t know if you can even get a V2 anymore. Auto cal is fine if you want to always get tunes emailed to you but you won’t be able to edit the tunes unless you have your own V2/V3. Hopes this helps/makes sense.

    Ben Salz I don’t mess with any LML stuff at this time. You probably won’t find anyone that will show you how to make a tune for a LML. For emissions in tacks you can go off this video but if you want to delete then you will have to learn cax or buy a base delete file from someone

    Ben Salz oh ok, I would need a LML to mess with before I made a video, a lot more limiter. Still just an common rail diesel. Be careful about low boost fueling tho because you will fill the DPF to fast. To much timing will make your Nox out of engine to high and start coding for it. So just make small changes and data log to see how it’s reacting

    Another question is that I didn’t read my stock file when I went to put tunes on it so I’m guessing I don’t have a stock file anymore. So I call a tuner say ppei or whoever and ask for a stock lbz tune and they send it to me will I still be able to go into it to make changes?

    Rick Bollard when you open up your stock file you can “upgrade to DSP5” then save, close and open back up and you will have extra maps. Email me your vin number and tire size and I’ll email you your stock file. Robsdiesel@yahoo.com

    When you have a turbo, more energy (heat and drive pressure) will spin the turbo harder, even with leaving MAF and turbo vane tables the same. This creates a very clean tune.

I'm not saying this is a bad video I'm just saying the amount of knowledge he is giving you will make you dangeruse.
