How To Make Thukpa | थुक्पा बनाउने तरीका | Veg thukpa recipe | Soup recipe
Thukpa is a traditional Tibetan noodle soup thats hearty and comforting Heres a basic recipe
Ingredients
- 200g noodles (like spaghetti or egg noodles)
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 onion thinly sliced
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 1-inch piece of ginger minced
- 1 carrot julienned
- 1 bell pepper thinly sliced
- 100g cabbage shredded
- 100g mushrooms sliced
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon chili powder (adjust to taste)
- 1 liter vegetable or chicken broth
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Fresh cilantro chopped for garnish
- Lime wedges for serving
Instructions
1. Cook the noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large potheat the oil over medium heat. Add the onion garlic and ginger Saute until softened
3. Add the carrot bell pepper cabbage and mushrooms Cook for a few minutes until slightly softened
4. Add the turmeric cumin coriander and chili powder Stir to combine
5. Pour in the broth Bring to a simmer and cook for about 10 minutes.
6. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
7. To serve place a portion of noodles in a bowl and ladle the soup over them Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with lime wedges on the side
