Kind of disappointed that the two part SPIRITED AWAY FEAST was 5% cooking (yams and dumplings) 15% pre-made food (including the pig centrepiece) and 80% advertising for Google. I understand that KZreadrs need sponsorships to supplement income, but I don't think this worked out well. Understand if this comment gets deleted, just wanted to give honest feedback.

This video wasn't actually sponsored in any way - we just wanted to keep using Lil G because we thought it'd be fun to introduce more members to the crew (and in the spirit of Friendsgiving, it's all about the crew). Sponsorships allow us to reach a little further than our current means, and in this case it means being able to afford a $300 + pig for a Feast, hire more friends to help produce and edit each episode, etc. I understand that our older episodes may be closer to the videos that you fondly remember, and I certainly have a huge fondness in my own heart for them as well. The channel unfortunately is not a profitable one for us, and outside of a few brand deals a year (notably not every episode, ever), we barely get by on adsense. Sponsorships help us keep the dream alive, push into another year of content, and hopefully find a better balance in the future (but as you know, sometimes working with brands can be particularly restrictive. For instance, if they were to sponsor this video, we wouldn't have been able to even say Spirited Away or show any of the footage. We pushed to make sure that our main Feast video was as similar to our original videos as possible and also push towards a bit of a longer hangout video.)

Feast Of Fiction Nice comment but a little problem... We do not care if you can't buy a whole pig that is worth more than 300$. We watch your videos to learn new recepies and watch you cook. We want to lough with you and try it out at home, we do not want to watch how to buy some. Most people can't even afford it. Furthermore I am aware that sponsorship is important. You are entertainer, you need to have a salary, you deserve it. Therefor I won't even care if you promote something in every episode, maybe you can use cognomen and just skip parts where you would show clips from the "fiction"? You may be allowed to express the title of the film in different languages? To get to your point with introducing your crew and friends: nice idea but how you did it was inept, of course that is just my humble opinion. Cooking with friends can make great fun and is damned funny to watch so please, I beg you, do what you can do best: cook with them. You wanted to show the feast of the no face, there are a lot of easy dishes you could show how to make. Moreover there are a lot of dishes shown in the scene, everyone could make something. I have to admit, I am a bit disappointed of your last videos. Your caption doesn't fit the content of the videos and it got quite, how would one say... sterile? I do not know how to express it correct but the new videos lack their former touch and charme. I hope you listen to your audience and find a way to combine higher earnings with the old videos that we liked :) Sincerly one sleepless aunt :D

I THRIVE IN THE LATE NIGHT

I’m kinda disappointed in this episode, you didn’t really make anything except the bean buns. You bought the sushi, bought the pig, bought the jello, idk it was just disappointing. Plus the majority of the video was spent advertising google, which is fine I understand you need to make money but you could have advertised it in a less noticeable way, that focused more on the cooking rather than the sponsorship. I’m just sad because this scene is honestly the most epic food scene from any animation and you just kinda half-assed it.

This episode really disappointed me, to be honest. It's not even about the bits promoting Google! Actually, I think it's cool that Feast of Fiction is getting big name sponsors like Google so they can keep creating videos for us. What really disappointed me was how little cooking there was in total. The last video of the "behind the scenes" prepping for this feast got me really excited, but in the end they only cooked two dishes? I understand that this was a huge request, but there must have been a better way to tackle it. It seemed like there wasn't much thought put into the feast like you've done in the past. For example, the Legend of Korra noodles you recreated showed an attention to detail that really set you apart from other KZreadrs. Or even with the Together Breakfast, you were able to capture the mood of the show and recreate Steven's moves for a relatively simple feast! But this video lacked that aspect. Even something as simple as making the roast pig you bought look just like the one in the movie by adding garnish that matches. Or recreating one dish in a video each... I'm not sure what would have been best, but I don't think this was it. It seems to me that Feast of Fiction is heading in a new direction and I understand that's necessary to keep up with the changes in KZread lately. However, I am a fan of your channel for the cooking content, and I really miss it!

If you look back at our last months of October, and November we've released the same rate of normal videos that you remember (Hocus Pocus spellbook, Lightning Nachos, Eye Holes, Ube Roll) and then additional vlogs on top of that. We know it might be confusing to differentiate the Vlogs from our Recipe videos, so we're sorry to disappoint. We hope you can understand we're still keeping to our regular schedule, but releasing more content in between (which seems like a lot of our viewers have been very happy to see!)

......sorry but i seriously dislike this new "style" of videos ofc my opinion does not realy matter in this case but for real it was once all about cooking now its just random stuff, clickbaits (like the last episode and this one) i mean you put up videos make a huge hype about the whole thing and in the end we get 1! part of the full meal and not all of it (which is to much to do anyway) and....a ton of randomness in the beginning....and that after the "advertising" video to create hype for this...? 100% dissapointed
