How To Make The Midori Sunset Layered Cocktail

Ойын-сауық

Today on Booze On The Rocks, we make the Midori Sunset layered cocktail. This tropical cocktail tastes as good as it looks. With multiple layers, this slightly sweet cocktail tastes of melon, oranges and pomegranate. Try it out and let me know what you think.

    I had no idea that the sugar makes it heavier. Clever trick to mix with some vodka. This cocktail looks gorgeous Dave. Hope your shoulder feels better! If you need to, you could always ask a guest on your show. Wish we were closer as we’d raise our hand to try.

    made them and the layering worked beautifully! of course layered drinks are usually too syrupy for us so after we took pics we shook it with an ounce of lime juice and it tasted like a sweet tart!

    I loved this drink. I never really used Midori, but bought some for a green Halloween drink. I recently made some Pinapple infused Tito's Vodka, so I used that with 3.5oz of OJ and 0.5oz of Pinapple juice. Shaken and poured over packed pebble ice. Soooooo good! Tastes like summer vacation

    A question..i made this.just now per exact spec..however when the midori hits the oj it doesnt turn out green like your thumbnail pic..it just turns a weird color..how do u ensure that clear separarion between green and orange? Thanks

  • @boozeontherocks

    @boozeontherocks

    Жыл бұрын

    To get the clear separation it comes down to the amount of sugar in the mixture. That is why it is mixed with vodka and stirred to dilute it. That way the amount of sugar per oz/ml is less than that of the orange juice. Also I pored it slowly directly onto the ice and that slows the liquid down which gives it time to stay separate.

    Hi, I've been wanting to try a cocktail with midori for a while now. I haven't been able to find it in supermarkets for almost a year, so I had to buy it online for $32 1L. Do you happen to know if the import to Europe has been blocked or something?

  • @boozeontherocks

    @boozeontherocks

    Жыл бұрын

    Hi as far as I know you can order Midori into almost every country in Europe. Go to you local liquor store and see if they can order it or try ordering direct online. It may depend on which country you are in though. Let me know what you find.
