Seemed like a very sweet man. Sorry to read from the comments that he has passed away. RIP, Eric!
I love your recipes eric may you continue to R.I.P
So sorry to hear that he has passed. Just found him. He seemed to really know what he was doing. These dumplings look delicious, can't wait to make them.
You made them like my mom used to do. Love it !! Thanks for sharing & teaching others.
Thanks for sharing this recipe.
oh my goodness I want some!
The secret to making dumplings is using all purpose flour. When you use self rising flour, the dumplings rise up and just a few can cook at a time. You have to do just a few at a time and remove them to make room for more. Otherwise, you are going to have a few dumplings and a of broth. If you try to make a lot at once you may end up with soggy dumplings that are not done in the middle. I have never made this recipe with the onions , green peppers or garlic powder but it looks great and I want to try it this weekend. Right now the garden is in and we are having fresh corn, fried okra and fried green tomatoes and black eyed peas and corn bread. I am also going to try your recipe for butter roll. It has been years since I have had any and I am dying to try yours with the additional vanilla pudding. Keep up with the recipes!!

Eric , I love the way you made your dumplings . You did such a wonderful job and I really enjoyed your video .
Thanks Eric! Looks really good!
Eric I love the way you cook chicken and dumplings. I wish I had a plate full right now!
This is how my grandma used to make hers with the eggs but she used to beat the eggs before putting them in the well. Some of her seasoning were different though. Most likely cause she made some very spiced up dressing. Now when I make them I start with the eggs, splash of cooking oil in the bowl and whisk in the flour and a little warm water. After putting them in I simmer them and put the lid on until tender. Good job.
Thank you!! I do not keep crisco in my house so this was perfect. Love your recipe.
Man my dumplings came out perfectly !!! Thank you for sharing with us.... I’m subscribed
VERY GOOD!!😋 PRAYING FOR YOU MOG!!!
Looks delicious! Back home we’d refer to that as chicken and noodles. Our dumplings didn’t have eggs or oil.
Yummy 😋

L D. Please keep your negative comments to yourself. If you’re watching to learn, awesome, but if your watching to criticize, keep it. Eric has been cooking for many years and has cooked for the best of them . If you can do better, stop watching him and start your own show.

L D. Don't be like that! You can tell that this man has a passion for what he's doing, cooking and sharing with people. Not to mention that you misspelled a word in your comment. Don't follow after this world by putting people down for what you perceive as their shortcomings. You could learn a thing or two from this man...like how to be a genuine human being instead of a pretentious follower who puts other people down so you can look good. Learn from that...
