Do you vary the colored small beads in a pattern or just string them random? Do you keep one color of the multi colored small beads on certain strands? Does the pattern vary on every strand? I can't see the color of the small beads, just the larger green ones.

Just finished the Rose Garden version. I did notice that my beads are a bit more far apart than yours so you can see the thread in between the beads. Doesn't bother me too much but it looks prettier when the beads are closer together. Any tips? I used a Kumi weight. Also I found that creating a "bead stopper" at the end by threading the last seed bead twice was more secure than using the painter's tape. Beautiful kit!

Yes, what you are describing is a tension issue. You may need a heavier weight and when you are pulling the strands across the disc make sure they are nice and tight. What kind of needle are you using to string the beads onto the S-Lon?

Have you ever had beads to constantly pop out of place. This kept happening to me and I gave up the pattern and took everything out.

not sure but my guess is size 8 union and 4 mm firepolish .... hope that helps

You guys should sell bracelet and necklace kits that match. Its hard to figure out exactly the size of the beads and if I need to buy more for a bracelet.

Why make so much braid if you have to cut off so much of it?

Because it's much easier to have loads braid to sew round, wire round or just glue (depending on your finishing style) so the braid is still tightly woven at that point than it is to fiddle around trying to anchor everything close to where you started/stopped braiding. This applies even more so when you are using a slippery synthetic thread rather than cotton or linen, and when you have the weight of beadwork involved and only need enough finished braid to fit into the end cap. Also for newbies, doing more braid at the start gives them a chance to be confident with the braid moves before they add beads as well. The extra time spent braiding is more than saved by not having to fiddle around securing the weaving right at the ends of the braided part.
