I made those with tiger tail around 2008 and had them listed in my etsy shop. I like the look with wire, but also like it with tiger tail.

I’m a newbie and the thing I notice the most with what I try to make is the wire is marked, dinted or a coating coming off. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

I am guessing that the wire you are using is perhaps not the best quality (the coating should not be coming off) or there is something on your tools that is causing damage to your wire - like a rough piece of metal or something. What wire are you using? Are your tools new or really well loved? It definitely sounds like it's either the material itself that is the problem or the tools are somehow damaging the wire.

How about the interesting earwires? How did you make them?
