I used to love the raspberry sweet tea from Ruby Tuesday’s. It had like an actual raspberry syrup with the fruit pieces in it. It was so good! They also had a peach tea I loved too.

I remember growing up in Arizona my mom always had a big glass jar w/lid & Tea Bags.. Sitting out on the back porch in the sun all day!! 😉

That’s exactly how I make mine! I will sometimes add a pinch of baking soda to cut through the bitterness and makes a hives difference. Best tea I ever had ❤

I love Sweet Tea I am glad I found your recipe 😁

I use Luzianne tea bags family size bags. It's only me and my Grandson so I just make 2 qts. I use two tea bags. I use Splenda because we are trying to cut down on sugar and Splenda tastes more like sugar than any other sweetner. I like lemon in my tea but my Grandson doesn't so I just add a piece to my glass. He said my tea is the best he had ever had. He had never had homemade sweet tea until I made it for him. It's better than buying it pre-made at the store or restaurants

I have a wooden spoon that's only for tea and one pot ...... but I do let my tea sit for about 1 hr before I make ... don't know why but my nana taught me that and she is 97 yrs young as of Oct 14th 2022 ...... Now I must admit...I am new to the tea scene lol. My hubby was a barista when we met and he has been trying to get me into coffee and tea for years lol. I finally ventured to the tea side!! What can I say, I am a simple woman 🤣. I will I have to show some footage of my daughter's tea collection one day lol she is a hot tea lover. I pretty much like my tea cold and sweet, but I do love black coffee even flavored. I love to watch the baristas I think that is amazing how they do that coffee. He just mentioned this past weekend that he never thought that WE would have a tea collection, let alone it be bigger than his coffee collection lol. When he worked there he would always make me special non coffee drinks..I miss it but now he can do it all the time without the stress. We just don't have all the fancy machines lol. I have told him he could come and do drinks on my channel, but he said he doesn't think he will be that great...don't worry I'm trying Mel 😂. I'll get him there lol. No problem at all. 💕🤗

That looks good. I’ve never had southern sweet tea. I drink Earl Grey tea (no milk or sugar). In hot weather I put in the fridge and drink it cold over ice.

I use 6 or more lol large tea bags Louisiane and i let it boil for about 6 or so min and I am on a gas stove. It is a lot different for sure. I was using Tetley and I know they changed their recipe in their teabags so I had to find another I boiled that the same as always and it just didn't never come out right. I got louizianne and it does just fine so. ( spelling lol )

🥰 thanks so much, I am proud of my Scotch-Irish heritage and my hillbilly accent, too. I have used Lipton and Tetley, for years I used Luzianee religiously but really I'm good with my Kroger or Walmart store brands. I think it comes down to a good hot steep, sweeten it while it's warm, and let it sit and get good and cold for a good while before you serve. If you have to serve it immediately, use a little more sugar. Oh and I always make mine in a plastic pitcher, and mostly drink out of plastic cups. BUT I will say, it does taste GREAT to drink it out of a real glass full of ice. Thanks so much for your sweet comment, I want my channel to feel like home for everyone who watches, a place to unwind and relax 😊 I hope this video helps and you enjoy sweet tea all weekend 🥰

I work in the food industry and in an airport. So a lot of people who are not from Oklahoma are surprised when they are asked it they want sweet or unsweetened tea. Where they come from it’s all unsweet. Sad place lol
