🎨 How to create patterns with Repper
Repper is a web app that helps you to create pattern variations from a single image. The Repper app allows you to take any source image that can be a painting, whether it’s realistic, abstract, or liquid art.
The app selects a part of the image and a tiling option. As you move along these tiling options, you get different results of how the pattern can look.
Repper has loads of tiling options. Including Octagon, Arabesque, Echo Honeycomb, Bloom, and Persian Star-these tiling options create a world of patterns from a very simple source image.
🧑‍🎨 How to design all-over print products
In this video, Mey Aroyo creates summer patterns and orders three all-over print items from Printful using those designs: a Sublimated Towel, an All-Over Print Large Tote Bag w/ Pocket, and an All-Over Print T-Shirt Dress.
To design all-over print products using the Repper app, follow these steps:
1. Choose Source Image
Select an image that can be realistic, abstract, or even a pattern like stripes.
2. Select Tiling Option
Repper offers many tiling options. Choose one to see how your pattern will look.
3. Adjust Selection
Move the selected image area and experiment with different tiling options to create unique patterns.
4. Use Effects
Apply special effects in Repper to adjust colors, brightness, and saturation.
5. Export Pattern
Save your design as a large image or a specific tile. Repper can export very large sizes for all your designs, including up to 20,000 by 20,000 pixels.
6. Upload to Printful
Use the exported pattern on Printful to create all-over print products like towels, t-shirt dresses, and tote bags. Repper helps create cohesive collections where patterns can match across different products, adding a unique touch to your store’s catalog.
