Hi Tammy , I made the yams last night, my oven is broken so I did it stovetop they were done in 25 minutes to perfection and I put a little bit of Hennesey in them and boy oh boy were they good, I will tell you this they are allllll gone fam loved them the texture was great and the flavors all combined was fantastic. I always add pineapple juice and pineapple in mine and bake them. Sometimes I switch it up with lemon or mandarin oranges. It adds a freshness!

I slice my potatoes much thinner and cook them on the stove. My favorite!

Will be making these because I made your first yams recipe and to make it with fresh ginger gon be amazing your recipe save me that year now I make yams like a pro I couldn’t let my family down thanks to your video watching from Chicago ❤️❤️love and blessings

Hello! New subscriber and I love making sweet potatoes. I usually don't cut them up before, I clean and boil skin on and then peel and cut to bake. My sauce consists of butter, brown sugar, sugar, vanilla, nutmeg and cinnamon but I also usually use a liquid like orange juice or pineapple juice along with a little zest AND syrup. It is sweet, but amazing. Love your personality. I started at the turkey video and came to this one!

My 4 kids fight over this pot roast 😂 In fact, I am making your Mississippi pot roast and your smothered turkey for Thanksgiving. I’m doing these candied yams because mine ALWAYS come out watery. I think it’s because I use the canned. Thank you sooo much

So far this is the 2nd recipe I've made that you posted and GIRL GIRL GIRL you know what your taking about. The only thing I did differently was use all spice instead of ginger but it was SOOOOOOO good. Thank you so much Queen for sharing this recipe. You made my Thanksgiving amazing

Made this for Thanksgiving dinner. They were delicious. There was a lot of sauce, so I let it cook a bit longer to thicken up. Thank you for this recipe!!! YUM!

Im mexican and we grew up eating my moms sweet yams. Her recipe was very simple, brown sugar and cinnamon sticks and cooked with a bit of water on the stove top. But this version sounds so delish, will make them and have mom try some..😁

I followed the directions as provided the first time. So when I made it again I had to make adjustments since I made a larger batch. But by then I knew what it should look like. This is the only way I cook my sweet potatoes/yams.

My favorite!! Must definitely try these for Thanksgiving. TFS Tammy! God bless

Thank you for all your delicious recipes. I am a stay at home dad thats love to cook and eat lol . But this candy recipe yams look off the hook.

My mom used lemon zest or orange zest. I developed an allergy to citrus and substituted ginger. But in all my years, I've never seen anyone make sauce. Honey, it's all the same had you just spread the ingredients over the potatoes. Stir halfway through. Done. The potatoes create their own water. Excellent southern recipe, so easy to make. You have a beautiful smile, lovely personality and great camera presence! Keep up the good cooking!

Tammy thx for the great recipes. I tried sending u a msg on a link-didn’t work. I checked your recipes. Curious if you have or can duplicate a dish. On tik tok someone posted a pic of his pull apart oxtail stuffed garlic knots with a dipping sauce-they were not dry not at all. But he won’t share the recipe. I’m good at following your recipes & am wondering if you dare try this? I’d substitute it with chicken though. TIA!

I grew up on yams made this way!

This my first time in history cooking homemade yams & of all the people I looked at & there were several.. yours took my heart... I watched you as I cooked this.. Jesus!! I think i put too much white sugar bc it's too thick but b4 I started I asked God 4 his blessing. Lol.. I tasted it as you did but b4 you & burnt the hell out my mouth.. syrup huh.. lol.. I don't know you but your vibe is amazing.. your spirit.. it's like mine & honestly that alone sold me!! I'm keeping this but I won't pass it off as mine. I'm a realist..
