Yes, please add ingredient list in details. I am glad you talk about measurements. Many chefs don't give exact measurements and just say.... mix to your taste. -What does that mean if you have never made the items :( The mandazi/mahamri look delicious.

Woouh I love your recipes Sir.
This looks beautiful
Yummy I gonna try this
Wow! Lovely cooking. I love the fact that they are hallow inside. Unlike our traditional maadazi. This is really good to know. My agenda this weekend was to make maadazi for my kids, but now, it's gonna be #Mahamri, they sure will love eating them and also find them interesting..😇.. Yum! Yum! Thanks again for sharing your valued skill and knowledge. #Stay Blessed na Ubarikiwe Sana.🙏🏽

Zanzibar and Dar A Slm is called Mandazi. I made a lot From Young age to sell but sometimes havevtonbe perfect in thickness . Like he said. 1/4 inch I think is good. ask.the Chef And for me I prefer more sugar I cup.. For Mr each 3 cups 1/2 a cup but depends on size of cup Thanks chef . A little more knowledge for me to improve myself more 1 thing more M ahamris are not do easy to.nake Needs lots of practise to be perfect I started doing myself I cooked for many yrs. but sometimes it didn't turn. out so well . The rising time depends on climate .
Chef....thanks for posting this. So you use chai masala as opposed to the usual cardamom? Wondering if there is a difference in the taste.....
@chefwainaina
Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching, yes there's a difference. Cardamom is a spice by itself while masala is a combination of spices. Check for my chai masala in the video.

Thanks a lot Chef for your generous demonstration. I have a question .. what do we do with the now used oil ? If we' can reuse it then how many times before we discard it please ?
@chefwainaina
3 жыл бұрын
You welcome Eugenia, yes you can reuse the oil and especially if you lots of frying, strain it through a fine sieve and it should keep well. Note, it all depends on the kind of oil you are using too. .
I make them but will surly try with your measurements. After rolling and cutting do we need to let them rest to rise again? You’re good and good luck chef.
@chefwainaina

Thanks for watching, yes please let them rest so they can rise slightly to help with fluffing.
You used the dry yeast vs instant right?

This is the first Mandazi recipe that has worked out well for me thanks so so much but thy came out with to much oil, you can even feel it when you eat, I placed them on a kitchen tissue but still if you have anything to help me with than please do otherwise thanks so so much ❤️
