Yeah Skyrim has always been unfinishable, and it's not because of bugs and glitches that make you stop playing, no, it's because the main quest is boring as shit, and the side quests, butterflies and random caves you find as you walk vaguely in the direction of the main quest, will be more interesting. Then you realize, the main quest thing you were supposed to be doing is on the opposite side of the map. Ooops. Rinse and repeat for like 50-100 hours and then you quit.

Cestarian Inhabitant that is not at all how my first two years of vanilla Skyrim went, but if that’s how it went for you, who am I to say otherwise? Personally though, I do share your sentiment about the main quest. It did get old eventually, and looking back on it now, compared to Morrowind and Oblivion (which I didn’t play until after Skyrim got me into the series), Skyrim’s MQ doesn’t stand up to those games’ MQs in terms of depth, and replayability. But to me, there’s no denying that Skyrim does a lot of other things right, that Morrowind and Oblivion couldn’t pull off. Those things span anywhere from current technology, to character models, voice acting, characters interacting with each other/radiant AI, world encounters, and just having NPCs who feel like real inhabitants in the world you explore in Skyrim. So I’d take your criticisms into account (along with some of my own like watered down RPG mechanics-where tf is spell crafting Bethesda?), add in the numerous things that TESV did right, and wrap it all up to a recommendation of what TESVI *should* look like, and how Bethesda can make it the greatest Elder Scrolls game of all time.

he has stated that he is aiming to release LOTD v5 for sometime this month. its a 100% rework too (even the museum looks different), however it may take a bit longer as no release date set.

MxR you should try out this large storyline mod called "The Shire" It's super good and your choices matter (your interactions with some NPCs are like Mass Effect 2 where your relationship with some of the NPCs can influence what happens in the ending) I haven't been watching much of MxR's mod vids lately, so if he actually did a review on that, then pls lemme know so I can delete this comment :)
