this is great for little ones who get frightened by fireworks, people who have traumatic experience, or anyone else who can't enjoy traditional fireworks. these have the same or a similar effect because they are still pretty and cool to watch!

Yeah, I get scared of loud noises. Fireworks play a big role in why I hate New Years.

There are actual silent fireworks. In my city there are way too many dogs so I’m pretty sure they banned non silent fireworks. Silent fireworks make a small amount of noise and it’s actually pretty cool

It’s a crime to call this a firework

you can use glow in the dark paint and do this in the dark too and it will look really cool !!

Can't you just get the things that you throw on the ground that pop they aren't that loud but really fun

This is good for people who might be scared of fireworks/loud noises.

My dog is TERRIFIED of fireworks, she was shaking literally all night yesterday, so this seems like a better option to keep her calm!

This is actually creative! I have really bad migraines. Me and my dad wanted to do fireworks this year and while it was really fun, the loud noises and bright lights really left me in poor shape 😂 I’m gonna try this

I did the same thing with my science kit :)

If I'm not mistaken you can do something similar with a plate, water, food coloring, and dish soap. Put the water on the plate with a few drops of food coloring. Then with a qtip that has dish soap on it, you touch it to the water and it causes the water to rush away from the qtip making pretty "explosions." I may be missing a step or something since the last time I did it I was a child but I think it would be a little more interactive for the kids

You can also do similar effects by colouring a cotton pad with felt tip marker then popping it in a bowl/container of water, and it goes of so much more vibrantly

It’s because the dye is aqueous (water soluble) so it separates from the oil slowly into the water (water is also denser, hence why it goes down.) If you put it in a bottle and shook it, it would separate a lot quicker. If you were to use oil and a less dense water soluble liquid, the dye would float up to the top! Or you could use a “heavy oil”
