This recipe uses equal weights of eggs, flour, butter, and sugar. It's such an easy recipe, that once you're familiar with the method, you might even be able to remake this cake from memory. The measurments used in this recipe, gave me 8 generous slices.

Vanilla Sponge Cake:
- 3 small/medium eggs
- 172g butter
- 172g sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla bean paste (or vanilla extract)
- 172g self-raising flour (or plain flour with 1¾ tsp baking powder)
- 15ml milk
Icing:
- 170g icing sugar
- 30ml milk (2-3 tbsp)
- 30g sprinkles for decoration
