Thank you for this video. It was so easy and straight forward. I made mine a little larger and it came out perfect! No more store bought bonnets :D
I made some bonnets using this tutorial for my sister who’s a nurse. She used this as a surgical bonnet in 2020. She says that it’s still her favorite bonnet and 2 years later she’s still using it weekly. Thank you for such a wonderful tutorial.
Whenever I hear african print I always pause and ponder. We do wear those fabrics. Some of us even crave them. But it is mostly made in Holland, by Dutch company, using African cotton. Why can't they at least settle down in Africa, employ Africans, pay taxes to Africa. I really wonder why? And we are the ones who wear them, we really love them. I wonder how, I wonder why ? 🤔🤔🤔 I wear them too. The bonnet is so lovely! Great work african sister 👍🏾🙏🏾

Black To Grace you are right. It is Holland ( Netherlands) . As a matter of fact they write on it in French " Véritable Wax Hollandais Vlisco" thank you for the correction . God bless Africa.

Estelle S. HOUNDONOUGBO go to etsy and order your fabric from a vendor in Africa that’s what I do and shipment is quite quick. As far as everyone complaining about buying things from China, well we only have ourselves to blame b/c the average consumer wants things cheap and Chinese products are cheap. There’s also an African KZreadr who has sewing tutorials and she talks the history of certain African prints. What’s interesting is that some of the most well known prints that we wear today were created by Dutch designers back in the day and they brought them to Africa where they were quickly adopted. So yes some come from the Netherlands b/c the Dutch created the prints.
This is easy and doable for beginners. Great for when you want to run to the store but still look put together.
I still come back to visit this video. It is one of the best that I have seen. Thank you so much for sharing!❤️

You are a wonderful teacher! Each step is very clear and you do not waste time with repetitive sewing etc. The surgical nurses in the hospital wear similar head coverings but yours are much prettier. The next time I have to go to the hospital I am going to take some of these as surprises for the nurses. Thank you for sharing!❤
Marvelous! I am going to order enough yardage now. I am a beginner and have learned 90% of my sewing skills from y-tubers and bloggers. I will be watching your channel more! Thank you.

I love it! Thank you for your easy to follow instructions, and you are beautiful.
Beautiful! Always wanted something like this. Thanks a lot
This is beautiful! 👏🏾👏🏼👏🏿👏🏽 Thank you for this great tutorial! I like the version where the scarf is separate the best. Then you could wear the scarf alone and have your hair coming out of the top and not worry about the snaps or the Velcro snagging your hair. This is SO GOOD! You can just wake up and tie on the scarf and not worry about your hair AND your hair is going to stay soft because of the Satin. 😍🥰

Hello, i think this is perfect. I know a lady who lost her hair, i think the med term is alopecia, and she is ashamed of herself. Maybe i will gift this to her, because she once told me how uncomfortable it was to wear a wig for a prolonged time. Wish me luck and bless you!
