    The wood screws are 2" long, the 8 is the size of the screw in diameter (8mm). Just thought I would share that with you.

    Great video! Just getting into tufting, like, tonight, hahaha. Pre-drilling those holes will make things a little easier when screwing them together, just use a drill bit a little smaller than the screw. Gonna check out the rest of the vids, thanks again!

    My daughter is going to learn how to tufting, I'm a British bench joiner , so I'll be saving her £80 by making her the frame, but out of English Oak instead of softwood, and the second part of the frame where the bobbins will go will be bolted to the mainframe.

    Do you double your yarn when tufting ? Because I saw double strings in the end

  • @Scribbly_Scribz

    @Scribbly_Scribz

    A lot of people like to double the yarn to make it thicker,but you could get the same effect (on good quality cloth) by going over a preexisting line again with 1 thread in the tufting gun. (Hope that helps you out!)

    Drill a pilot hole first with a drill bit. Make sure the hole you drill is a little thinner than the width of the screw. You still want the screw to be tight when you put it in.
