you didnt open Login activity as launcher activity .Go to menifes file and make login activity as launcher activity

The ending code is not correct because every time it opens again the activity from login to register and from register to login. If you try to go back it will go again and again and again and again.

white color is not define in your color file. you can use android.color. type android.color you will get suggestion

remove text in xml code in edittText .Add only hint not text in xml code .While clicking in edittext hint automatically disappear but if you added text in editText then it will not disappear .
