Thanks for sharing.. now I have the idea how to solve the problem my tv can’t receive the signal from remote control but the remote still a good function.. I can use this part to receive the remote signal properly. So you all don’t comment the stupid opinion by using camera smartphone to know the signal remote still function. That is just cartoon network for the technician job. 🙃

Так то да...а вот световой барьер врят ли таким способом проверишь (SICK). С/д мерцают, на бешенной частоте, при чем у каждого диода, своя частота (посылки импульсов), т.к. каждый с /диод "стреляет" в свой ф/диод. В исполнении автора конечно, мало спасет, но дополнив электролитом, худо бедно, тестить можно

...И нихрена не видим, равно как и с этой поделкой убогой: в 99% случаев на современных телевизорах в пультах брак контроллера, в итоге диод мыргает - а коды не те отправляет.

I built one of these 30 yrs ago to test remote controls. I put one together from parts laying around . This is a great device to test IR output from remote controls. Another way to test remote controls is the camera in your smartphone .

Also, using an AM frequency radio as well. For those that don't know: dial the radio to a somewhat quiet frequency then point the remote at the radio (close proximity) and "search" for the coil/antenna inside the radio. The IR pulses are picked up as interference by the radio. Not nearly as handy as a smartphone camera.

How does that work? Near infrared is much higher frequency than radio waves.
