If you created the perfect quail habitat, would quail show up, or do you have to introduce quail to the property?

Matter on your location do you see quail in your area often if so then they should come

Introducing quail is an option. There is research from Rolling Plains Quail Research Ranch at Texas A&M that shows longer site fidelity in translocated quail if a predator proof cage was used out on the landscape for the first 30 days to sequester the quail. This allows them to vocalize with their con-specific local birds and increases their chances of survival after those 30 days when they are released onto the landscape. Just make sure it is translocated wild quail and not pen raised quail. Pen raised quail have a survival rate of like 10/100 birds in the first 30 days because they're typically overweight, slower, and not in tune with predators and how to avoid them.
