They are loving it.

My dog recently had her second litter. It was another oops litter bc we were irresponsible with her. Her first litter she did great. This time she is not wanting to feed them at all, growling and snapping at then when she does nurse. We had to start supplementing before we could get her into the vet to check for mastitis. She went today. She is just being a little grumpy. No mastitis! Her puppies have just reached 3 weeks and they are taking puppy mush perfectly. We had 7 females and 1 lonely male. 😅 They all appear super healthy and they are growing cuter and cuter everyday!

They are beautiful and so big at 3 weeks. I have weenie dogs so the difference in size at three weeks is quiet a bit to these. Would love to have one of these but getting too old for the work.

Hi. You can start now as long as it’s all mush and no hard pieces. Just want to make sure they don’t choke or get any pieces stuck especially if they don’t have teeth.

@@lexsosa9461 I’m a couple of months late but from what I read, they’ll get very messy. They’ll even try and put their whole body in the food. So yes, it’ll most likely get in their nose, but just make sure you clean them well. :)

Do not use baby wipes!. they have harmful chemicals. Water and a cloth. And in extreme cases diluted vinegar. same as people really.

questions if I may ask.. every time you fed them was it like this or also bottle fed? My pups are 3 weeks and mom isn't producing milk at all been bottle feeding for the past 2 days but they cough a little while I'm feeding I'm scared I'm doing something wrong wondering if I can just do this and it'll be safer..

Hi. Good question. We also allowed them to nurse from their mother in addition to eating mush. It is normal for them to cough I would just burp them like little babies so they can get rid of any air bubbles that they may have in their systems. If mom is not producing milk then I would continue to bottle feed them to be safe.

Pumpkin helps with runny poop use a purée or buy a pumpkin powder and add water to it

Isn’t it better to let them feed through their mother until the eight week mark?

I make my own puppy mush .in a pot I add water one chicken breast one carrot one egg whole egg half a cup of rice I boil until chicken is completely cooked. I drain most of the water I leave a little in the pot I save some of the water that I drained from coking the food. I blend with a hand blender until smooth I add two tablespoons of pumpkin to the mix and I blend again. If needed to make it softer I add more of the broth. Then I feed my puppies.
