    Again, super helpful video! I am really glad that you emphasized that color matching should take time. Currently, in the US, we have a movement of brands trying to be more inclusive with their shade range. Which is great! The problem is that they are using that as marketing and trying to shade each other. Brands that put out 15 shades are demonized. While BIG or Small brands are coming out with 50 shades. Then one brand tried to top them all with 100. 🤦‍♂️🏼 People keep trying to make the argument that it is not that hard to have a diverse range but, clearly it is not. And there are so many factors that the average consumer doesn't understand! Small brands can't keep up with that. It really depends on the market that the brand is selling to. For most people looking at 100 shades of daunting!

    Thanks for the video It's informative and interesting personally I think color cosmetic formulating is hard for me currently i am working on including clays in shampoos and I really appreciate if you could make a video on it if you don't mind the problem is that clays especially ghassoul clay precipitate at the bottom of the bottle I tried xanthan gum but I don't like the appearance of the product I wonder if there is a material to suspend the clay particles in the shampoo thank you so much for your informative videos

  • @theinstituteofpersonalcare6401

    @theinstituteofpersonalcare6401

    If formulating natural is important to you, you are limited in your suspending agent and surfactant choices, which would be making it harder for you. Clays and beads are VERY LARGE compared to suspending oil droplets (for example) so you need to suspend them well. Here is a video showing how to suspend beads in foaming formulas, it is similar, for you to suspend clays or glitters: kzread.info/dash/bejne/iX14wa5mqqbRYc4.html or contact us if you need to learn this in more detail or want to purchase consulting time/advice, hope this helps in the meantime!

    Do you mean PVA and PVP - film formers used in our industry? There are multiple grades of these polymeric materials, we only use cosmetic grades of these materials which are safe and pure for application to hair and skin. They appear to have the same INCI and chemical names but are different grades with different performances and levels of purity. Not to be confused with grades that get used in the paint or textiles industry, they are different grades.
