@@ReidStefanMusic you know the 'recording when you're not recording thing' you keep saying ableton has.. it's not the only daw that has it.. i use capture recording in logic all the time

25:50 tip for who don't know: right click and remove flag from "Group in folder". This bring back the old sorting style. 🌿

This taught so much more than it had any right too. Way more helpful for learning Ableton for ANY genre than any skillshare or similar paid tutorial. Much appreciate!! You can right click on your audio effects in the browser to remove the group folders! So it's like live 10

I wanna be able to make beats like this already. Reid, you are freaking amazing. Got my vocals down thanks to you and Karra, for some reason I am having trouble with making beats. I get the courage to start then everything seems so complicated so I give up on it. I'm so completely new to producing so I re watch your videos on making beats but I can't keep up. Do you have any tips for me to keep it simple? Maybe like an analogy or something? I'm just trying to think of an easier way to approach everything that goes into a beat haha My main focus are hip hop/r&b/pop and eventually EDM but I'd like to start with Hip Hop so I can start producing my own beats but I like synths so maybe I should stay away from mixing the two for now? Idk, just in need for some guidance from you. You're the only producer on KZread I have been able to learn from

I’d say to pick a daw, so if you’re using ableton for example, look up stuff like “making a beat in ableton” and watch a lot of different people make beats of your preferred genre using the daw. I’ve learned from picking things up from watching people. I have a hard time making melodies so I use a lot of different loops from splice and change them around to make it my own, then add simple drums. That’s where I’d start if I were you

Ahhhh yeah

Sick beat, but why use PT for vocal production in part 2 when Ableton 11 has take lanes? Also, does Reid record the puppet cam at the same time as he's producing or is he doing it after? Either way it seems like it would be very tedious crouching under the desk for long stretches of time. If he's recording it at the same time, how does he move the puppet at the same time as producing (In sync with talking and music? Surely one would need two hands to produce so efficiently? Does his arm get tired? Is Karra or someone else helping offscreen by holding the puppet? I appreciate and admire the effort that goes into these videos and I always learn so much but these questions wouldn't leave me alone for ages now and I end up missing some of the info because of this. I just want to know the answers so bad!

If you look along the very top of the screen where the Ableton Playback/record controls are, it’s the button near the top center that has a square outline icon (besides the button with the automation icon)

If you don't like the new Ableton 11 folders in the Audio Effects, you can right click in the area and uncheck the group folder.

Hi! I can explain. I have two serum packs on sale on splice snd whole loops. We recorded my voice and put them into a wave table in serum to make all these sounds, so yes they were indeed made our of my voice!

You can drop any audio file into that green wavetable window of Serum, to convert it into a synth. We did this with Karra’s vocals and made two preset libraries 👍🏻
