HOW TO MAKE PEPPER SOUP SPICE PLUS GOAT MEAT PEPPER SOUP RECIPE (2 in 1 video)

Pepper soup spice is a popular spice mix used in making pepper soup within and outside Nigeria. The individual spices needed to make pepper soup spice can be sourced in almost any market in Nigeria.
Details of the ingredients:
Uziza 1½ tablespoons- They are also called Ashanti pepper, Piper guineense, Soro wisa and Iyere in Yoruba. Uziza are earthy Peppers with strong and distinct flavor. They are known to relieve stomach upset. Uziza is not the same as black pepper.
Uda 4 pieces- African Negro pepper, Grains of selim, The back of this spice is bitter hence should be used in moderation. They are traditionally known to hasten the healing post partum injuries. They are also used in the treatment of Cough, malaria, cough, skin infection etc
Gbafilo- 2pieces They are also called rough skinned plum. They are traditionally used in making soups, manage blood pressure and treat stomach disorders.
Ehuru 15 to 20- They are also called Calabash nutmeg or African nutmeg. They have a unique and distinct flavor. A little goes a long way.
Umilo/Emilo 4- They are called Paradise plum and have a nutty taste (similar to that of walnut). The walnutty sweetness of this paradise plum, always gives an elevated taste to your soups and sauces.
Eeru/Shine shine/Orioma/Banga seeds/obulo 1 tablespoon: They are added to soups because of it's unique flavor.
Njasang/Akpi/Wama 20 seeds: Known for their mild but distinct flavor, Njasang are used as thickeners for soups. They also prevent caking/clumping of pepper soup spice.
Lemon grass 10- Optional but highly recommended due to its flavor.
Uyayak/4 corner spice/Aridan/Prekese/Nchoncho 10 seeds- They are widely used in African cuisine because of its long standing health benefits and flavor. They can be used in whole or just the seeds can be used. Another amazing way to use uyayak in whole is to rinse thoroughly and add to your pot of pepper soup, local stew or soup.
To get the best out of my pepper soup spice, I always use within 1 to 2 months.

Thanks for differentiating BTW Oziza seeds and black pepper hear, now I know. I had used then interchangeable in the past. Meanwhile I think u'da (negros pepper) described as having the back that is bitter is not quite like that is the seed(s) that's bitter, but you can reconfirm

Are you in Nigeria? If yes you can find them in basically any market within Nigeria and even other parts of Africa. Simply check the traders who sell soup ingredients, dry pepper etc. Also check the description box I wrote the different names plus you can screenshot and show the traders, they know these spices very well.
