Any bets on how long this thing will last with Uni in the same house?
Sorry for the funky intro/outro sound, my normal mic failed me so I had to use the not so great camera audio :(

You can actually watch the Disney promo on how to make these
Thank you! We have an adopted child from the Philippines and I want to make this and hang it in our house in her honor. Since we only adopt her financially and she still lives in the Philippines with her family, I will send her a picture. Great tutorial. Easy to follow. Count me as a new subscriber! Hugs and blessings.

They help the child with his/her financial needs(sensya na di ko alam mag english)sorry for my bad english.
my mom is half Filipino and she was saying how she missed having parols around during Christmas. Apparently, my grandpa would make one every year. She never even told me this was a thing growing up, and we even celebrate 3 Kings Day, so I looked it up and showed her your video. Now she's saying we should make one for Christmas this year :) so I guess I'm making my first Parol this year. lol.
I'm middle aged and fractionally Filipino. I grew up with some of my family, but don't see them often. This year for some reason I feel pulled to engage and learn about that part of my heritage. So this is a great project. Thanks for the instructions. Great video.
This is a common school project here! And the one you made is so pretty I love the materials. The window is the customary place to hang it so t shines outside!
Very nice. When I was growing up in the 60s, my older brother made a huge parol 5’X5’. It was beautiful. I would sit and watch him make it. At one point, he had me help him cut up the multi-colored tissue papers. He’s no longer with us and I regret not having learned how to do it when he was alive. But thanks to your video, you’ve inspired me to make one. Your instructions are very easy to follow. Thank you.
Great video. Just a tip, I found that lightly ironing the reeds helped flatten them out.
That is lovely!! I love the warmth it gives the window... Beautiful!!
I realize this video is “old” but I love your candid commentary! Perfect video!!!
Nice. Traditional pinoy xmas lantern. U just gave me some idea's. I enjoyed that video. Im Gonna start making parols n sell it to our kababayan here in Sydney Australia.
Best instructions I found in the net! Thank you!
Born and grew up in the Philippines and I dont even know how to make that! Good job baby ko you always have a fantastic ideas, Im so proud of you.keep it up
Thank you cheslen for your vlog on how to make Christmas lantern.
I’m proud of you, girl! Great job.
nice! this reminds me so much of my childhood, I remember making one with my dad! thanks for sharing!!!
Your video's are always satisfying to watch!! You got a good thing going, don't change it!!
very pretty and easy instructions thank you I am 8 years old my aunt said stop the video and do what she is doing and i did and it worked. I'm Auntie we saw a beautiful Filipino Christmas movie and we both fell in love with the star I thank you sweetie for your patience in teaching this beautiful star she is having a sleepover and this will be her craft as well as gift for her guest.
cool idea. love it!
Very nice. You did well. This will be my first too. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! I've been looking for something to decorate my wall this Christmas.
Simple but looks elegant!
Perty lipstick! I love the tradition of lights during the winter holidays. A Swedish friend of mine has a similar star-shaped window light made from woven reed/fibers
Thanks for the tutorial. I made one for my place. That christmas vibe where you see lighted Parols hanging in houses, children singing christmas carols, the smell of Filipino rice cakes, and hearing the yuletide dawn Masses with your loved ones. So traditional. I miss spending the holiday season in the Philippines 😢
Lovely! Great tutorial. Gonna copy :) Perfect for Christmas. Thank you Chezlin!!
Thank you for sharing.
This is a beautiful project!!! Thank you so much for a great tutorial. I feel like I could make one! I don't have reed, but bet I can come up with something.
Omg! I love your parol! Ima make some for this year. 😃😊 i miss philippines Christmas parols too.
Thank you so much for making this video! I just made mine and, thanks to your instructions, it turned out not too shabby! I'm surprising my girlfriend who is from the Philippines so hopefully it gets her approval hehe
some people use cellophane to cover the star, that might be better to use than tissue paper as it won’t rip easily ❤️🙌🏻
U are amazing! seriously, like, how do you NOT have more subs?!! 😍😍
Wow, you did an amazing job for this being your first attempt and it's perfect for Christmas. Also, I have friends about to have babies and this world be a awesome gift. Thanks for yet another great video.
Great job. I am contemplating on making one for the pinoy household.
Oih this is nce! Been wanting to make one!
Subbed! Great job Merry Christmas!
Beautiful!! Thank You so much!
Fantastic!!
Its beautiful 😍
That was great!
Lovely
My mom must have learned that in the Philippines from her trip to America from Vietnam back in the early 90s!
Very cool! Thank you for doing this diy video! Gotta give it a shot now 🥰
This is beautiful! Thank you!
Freaking amazing!!!
With the reed you could have tried to dampen them and then iron them then let them cool while pressed under something heavy
Love it!thanks!
Super cute ❤❤
Very good
Oh thank you so much ur a big help!!!
Disney gonna make this video popular
I love lamp.
Nice
I bet if you soaked the reeds in warm water and dried them under something heavy they would flatten out!
Hello!! Great "how to" video!! I must have missed the link you mentioned as to where to buy the bamboo or wooden strips you use for the frame??? Thanks so much!!
