How to make new jack swing

This tutorial will showyou how to make new jack swing on the mpc live using 16th tripplet notes. Traditionally you would normally make new jack swing using the swing function, but there is no specific one way.

    Yeah those drum sounds are insane. I always feel like the best snares sound like they sampled a dozen car doors slamming together and then sped the whole thing up.

    It reminds me of the beat for "Jam" by Michael Jackson, which I do believe MJ was working in a New Jack Swing sound to his songs at the time (and it was produced by Teddy Riley)

    Instead of 16th note triplet quantizing, I use the swing feature set at 63% or 66%. But if your sequencer or DAW doesn't offer percentage swing, then 16th note triplets work too.

    Yes other than early '80s funk new jack swing is and will always be my favorite genre (sub-genre) of music ever! I value this music to the max! I still wear a box fade and and acid wash jeans with my black leather jacket and black leather dress boots with my gold jewelry! Please make more new jack music! Long live New Jack! They really need to bring this type of music back! Should have never left anyway!
