Fantastic! I forgot about crystal castles. Now I have to make a crystal castles inspired song. The noise oscillator on my arturia MicroFreak has a great bit crush type parameter. Gonna use it to get that dope tight crushy sound for the drum pattern. Make a lead with the korg minilogue and make a bass with the wave tables in the MicroFreak. The MicroFreak also has the speech thingy so maybe with some post processing I can pull off a creepy spoken word thing that would fit the CC style. Thanks for the idea man!!! I needed some inspiration today.

I wonder, do you need to have EQ and compression for each sound you use or should you do it all in one go at the end? or group certain sounds together?

you don't always need to compress everything, but you should be EQing at least the lows out of every sound that doesn't need it, as well as the high end on sounds that don't need them. helps get rid of muddiness.

@@Valentina-cy7tv same dude im tryna find some good engineer around my way but they charge a lot of money and the autotunes suck ass in my opinion, its a hit or miss a lot of the time i feel you really gotta be a good singer to use em which is not cool, some autotunes are better than others in specific areas but its a shit show honestly i wish i knew a engineer that didnt charge GOD DAMMIT.... but anyway go to reddit and find drum kits www.reddit.com/r/Drumkits/new/ most are recycle or stripped from popular songs...its mostly trap drum kits too. you should also look up how to make chords if you dont know...if you like the melody from this video try to copy it and use GMS just try to find a cool sound and make it the same. i started foreal foreal like over a year ago. idk music theory or any of that shit. only got familiar BARELY with melodic trap music bc of the youtube videos and mostly kyle stemberger. But i like electronic music i made simple ass beats on my roland jdxi first the autotune made me wanna pursue music as a career but ever since i bought autotunepro and went to a studio to learn how to beat make which btw was pointless lmao not really but yea ever since that i now use a daw(fl). look up CQSLEEP: kzread.info/dash/bejne/c4xrxK6MgrPaocY.html he makes some cool beats i think he likes LORN too he makes experimental music. we should make a song together like this probably hit him up maybe he could edit our voices too i rap and sing. here is a song i want to learn how to make: kzread.info/dash/bejne/l2GnvLV6f9XWY7A.html
