Now looking on it trying to get 100% I missed out on a lot of the game, 1 being that young and not understanding stuff 100% and 2 not having any experience actually playing GTA campaigns prior. I'd just run around on my dad's Vice city save that he literally unlocked everything in

It's actually a lot simpler than the video makes out. Buy low, sell high, unlike in real life, LCN has a clear and obvious pattern, that's pretty much it. If you could predict real like stock exchanges you'd be rich but as this is just a game, its all there right in front of you.

There are more missions earlier in the game which influence the stock market. Can be useful to make some cash before the big one. For example, after "Minor Turbulence", Vangelico goes up 40% (it was brought down by the jewelry store heist) After "Meltdown", FlyUS goes up 100% (it was brought down by the previous mission "Legal Trouble"). Before the final heist, Michael can already have 10+ millions on his name. other characters easily 5 millions.

@captain beastwinger on the merryweather one once you have invested with all characters you want to go to Trevor and start saving and there is this method that I used and it is where you save the game when you get profit and whenever your return percentage went down you want to reload the game to the save where you made profit ( the most previous one) and also don’t save the game when you go to sleep unless you made more return percentage than you previously had

I remember when I played the game way back when it came out, I had a lot of fun trying to change the stock market by doing shit in the world like destroying company vehicles. Really sucks that it never did anything. Would have been really cool to manipulate the world like that, and realistic too.

I managed a 132% return on the Merryweather stock. It did take some patience and several restarts of the game, but patience is key with that particular stock. Even a 50-70% return rate will be more than satisfactory. Good luck everyone

Oh, wait. I forget to tell you. There are another investment after the First investment. 1. I think both Michael, Franklin, and Trevor buy Merryweather before the mission The Merryweather Heist, Minor Turbulence, and Derailed. Then sell it after that mission. 2. In LCN, Buy AirEmu for Michael, Franklin, and Trevor before mission Legal Trouble, after the mission, sell it when profit is over 50 or maybe 60 %, then Buy FlyUS after that. Finish the mission Meltdown, then quick save, then check the profit is below 100 % but the problem is, don't start the mission Legal Trouble and buy AirEmu before that, you have to do the heist Bureau Raid first, because Franklin got cut on that one.

I did it multiple times and AirEmu never went up past 11.34 in profit. It got that high then fluctuated. So down to 5.51 then up to like 8.34 then back down to 6.71 then up some more

After the third way, as soon as the credits end and you receive the money of the big score, instead of merrywhether, buy augury insurance. Keep on sleeping saving and each time check the protfolio for percebt returns, sell at around 90-100% return. I got a 99.6 % return. It works for sure. Because the devin weston was commiting insurance fraud with those stolen cars, amd due to his death the augury insurance stock price doubles.

This guy explains better than my economics teacher. Parents, GTA is not only about crime, violence and sex. It's educational too. Here's a prime example :)

Important note: It doesn't really matter if you use Trevor, Michael or Franklin to save game, the methods work as Rockstar have created it. Although the time needed to make the stock value go down and up again is random. Save game im 1st file, check the value, if it went up save on 2nd file, if it didn't save on 1st again or 2nd depends which save had the highest stock value, if you realise after a few times that it goes only down, reload the save file where the value remains the highest and then sell them stocks Remember also that Merryweather method is the riskiest, as I had few times where i literally saved the game using Trevor like 40-50 times and never went up, making me loose 20 milions each character. Why does it matter to save game with different characters? It's because they have different sleep lenght: Michael = 6 h Franklin = 8-10 h Trevor = 12 h

It's so funny looking back on how this one game has changed my life. Go back to when it came out, I was a kid fresh out of high school, unaware what the hell I was gonna do. The stock market logic of this game, however, intrigued me very much. My father was involved in investing and looked after people making investments, he was part of some American-based branch of the Royal Bank of Canada or something, at least investing wise. But I had no cares for it until this game showed the aspects of it. In fact, it influenced me so much, I'm going to college for finance and business.

For anyone playing the PS5 version of the game, I have tried buying/selling Merryweather and Augery multiple times after doing Deathwith(3rd ending) and No matter what Augury will double in value after you save a few times and progress time in the game. Merryweather will never rise back to its normal price in this scenario. I spent several hours testing this. Buy AUG with all 3 characters as soon as the credits are done rolling.

It worked for me, I just start saving the game when the profit goes up and if is started going down I charge the save and because of that, the minimun value and the normal value will be the same and because of that i think the value is just obligerated to go up, althougth MAYBE it can go down, so i charge the save again and then it starts going up. 🙂

I didn't pay enough attention to earning money on assassination missions and now i have to make money another way, so thanks a lot for useful information on how to trade on stock market!

I got over 3300 on Redwood by save & sleep glitching. When it did fall over 100, i did reload save and did it again. When did reach maximum value (invested with Michael 45M, Franklin 42 and Trevor 40M) i sold it. After that bought all attachments, tints, clothes, planes, helis, upgrades on all main character's cars and properties then did invest again after The Bus Assassination. Maxed out again on all 3 characters.

DerkuiDerkui I did it on PS4, on 360 didn't worked. And when drops, don't worry. Sleep once, check, enter then back to see did it raise, then again sleep and same process over and over again. Iman Ghazi at the bottom of each incestment walkthrough it says that you have to save exit out of the game then come back in and load that save game. so save then go to home screen the go back to the game and start sleeping again. hopes this helps guys

This isn’t rocket science to understand, but this video helps for what to buy at what time. To those who don’t understand how the stock market (in-game) works, you simply buy stocks in a business at a low price (maybe if they aren’t doing well), then you sell those stocks you bought at a low price, high. You can tell when a business is going to do well if they are at a low point on the sales figures, allowing you to predict how well the profit return will be. I hope that makes more sense for those who are confused.

Bruh I finally found out how stocks behave with GTA V as a guide to help me define contraction and expansion. I can now feel how the vibe is just by looking at a graph, but the fact that Rockstar Games developed a strategic storyline to create flash crashes/gains to make the player more rich and after all, intrigued to BOTH, play GTA and Study Economics.

According to the creators of GTA 5, the central theme of this game is money. So GTA 5's post 2007-08 economic depression story emphasizing on the in game stock market makes perfect sense.

This is nearly like economy class! XD!

In the multi target adsination, after you buy debonaire save once with trevor and you will have about 80% profit instead of 30%.

I create a new game and only make 27 millions with the Lester missions (i couldn't use bawsaq) and with those 27M i saved the game and invested all in one stock and sleep till i got a good profit and save and continue sleeping till i can't get no more and when i see that the stock loose value i load the game where i was getting the maximum profit i could get and that's it i made 2.1 billion with each character

Lol it’s very easy actually. Buy stocks when they are really low then sell them when they go up 2-3 or 4%, choose a new stock and repeat..

@@fclp67 make sure to only save your game once or twice during the stock growth process. And from there just sleep without saving so that you can recover in case your stock goes down if you reload save too much

Thank you, only your video worked for me

I remember that I did the assasinations all after the endig of the story. The three had sometimes different stockmarket values (Trevor -10.000$ and Franklin +50.000$ for example) but they all had around 300.000.000$ at the end.

you don't even need to save, you click to save, but when the menu comes up to save just exit out, it advances time. dont know if that works on the new gens.

Been like that since GTA III. Time will always fast forward 6 hours even if you save or not. In GTA V Michael sleeps for 6 hours just the same, but Franklin sleeps for 8 and Trevor for 12 hours.

Hey man can you explain sum to me, at the end of the storyline when working on the assasination missions, are you supposed to invest on the markets with all 3 characters, I got confused seeing him buy it with Franklin then saving and selling it with Trevor.Would really appreaciate it man.

Here's a little trick so you don't lose any of your money: - turn autosave off - save ( before you invest ) - invest - if you would lose, reload the save

For anyone optimizing their playthru in the current decade- saves are basically double and DO NOT DIE, between saves (Trevor spawns on a mountain after switching to him sometimes-with No Transportation down) this guide is still really accurate

@@renebaebae0600 for example; the video suggests saving 6 times as Trevor to advance time 6 hours, the effects in game are now delayed so you might have to save 10-12 times to see the desired climb

I don't think the Merryweather trick works anymore

For the first assasination mission, I got the BET +50% immediately after completing it without saving, but for the BIL afterwards I needed nearly 20 saves to get to +120% for Trevor & +116% for Michael & Franklin.

Same with the DEB in the second assasination mission, got 50% return profit right after the mission. As for buying Redwood..it gave me a hyper-ventilation when my PS4 crashed during data saving..on a 330% return profit!!....The recent one I was saving on was corrupted but fortunately enough the PS4 backed-up the save that I have b4 buying Redwood. I had to do the process all over again to 330%....

@@kagan3987 no, it isn't, I didn't feel like buying the game again on a new console, and really wanted to replay it, but the 360 servers got shut down, and Bawsaq only works if your online, so that's why. I have a legit xbox, owned it for years, still works perfectly.

You only really need about 300 million for all the characters, so don't take the stock market too seriously.

I know I extremely late on this but if your stock market value is glitching out or is stuck and doesn't go up, simple click on the stock and then back out and you should see the updated value of the stock. It's a weird glitch but it works.

@@emberfist8347 Damn, I made a big mistake though. But fortunately I'm currently paused after the Hotel Assasination. However, how do we spent money at BetaPharmaceuticals and Bilkinton if we already put it at Vangelico?

You could also do the assassination missions after the Big Score for big money before the last mission

Ive spent time reaserching about stock markets to maybe make a living, so Im pretty familiar with this. I love It though. The risk factor and the big wins you can score make It fun.

Steven Hawking Do you know if this is still functional today? I just tried the Merryweather investment and it froze around -15%.. reloaded the save and got it to go up to +9% at one point, but it quickly slipped into the negatives.. what am I missing?

This is another way, DONT DO ANY OF LESTER MISSONS (Expect for the hotel which you need to continue the game) Once you’ve done “The Big Score” you will earn a ton of cash on each player. Then before you do the first association mission on Lester, Make all your characters into DEB (Located In LCN) Use all your money into it, Then do the First mission after this the stocks will plumit leaving you with over double what you invested. Like so people can see.

@@abdullahelrassas3714 save and reload method. If your stocks starts falling then stop and reload,it will increase. Remember to save everytime it is increasing and repeat if it falls again. I stopped at 1400% as it was turning quite boring

Note: You may have to save more than 8 times after buying Bilkinton

When buying bilkinton you have to wait around 10 days, save the game using trevor so it will make the time more faster

The total stock went up 150 percent after around 1.5 weeks butt since I by mistake invested at 45 percent so I got 105 percent

I think that shouldn’t be a full on game (Well, maybe as a tycoon game) but rather a secondary game mechanic (like properties) or maybe a GTA Online DLC. But In my opinion the Stockbroker character would work greatly in GTA

Some Dude Some young spoiled brat doing crazy shit with a empire of brokers with federal government agents chasing him down along the way. Would work greatly with the multiple time eras we got out of recent leaks. Rockstar seems to focus their recent titles on main aspects like GTA V (heists) and RDR2 (gang interactions/immersion). Make the stock market a central focus in GTA VI with heists sprinkled in of course.

Fun facts: you don't even need to any of the assassins missions to be able to max 2.1 B for each character all you have to do is invest in the stock market, go to sleep, and see if there is a profit and then you can just keep saving when you have an increase in money and then keep on repeating until you get 2.1b it only took me 1 single day of my own time

Thanks to this brilliant guide I ended up with 300 million for all my characters. I know I couldve ended up with way more but i did a lot of the lester missions early in the game before I knew that they could be used to make mad profit from the stock market. Nevertheless, 300 million is still a ginormous amount of money, achieved all thanks to this video.
