Hello Tara, this was a lovely recipe! I made it with just a few minor substations based on what I had/wanted like subbing the witch hazel extract for .5% allantoin and an extra 1.5% niacinamide since my main goals were hyperpigmentation/cell turnover more so than oil control (I find just niacinamide to do a decent job with a great face washing regimen underneath). And I wasn’t ready to buy new ingredients yet, so I used jojoba oil in place of the squareness, and siligel instead of gel maker NAT. Even still, the texture and moisture of this formula was amazing! Gelled up beautifully after a minute or two of mixing and glided across my skin like butter before soaking right in. This is definitely an amazing base recipe and I’m excited to play around with the actives and make some personalized moisturizers for friends and family. I’ll be sure to check out your other formulations because I’m so pleased with this one!

We used this moisturiser only day time or night and also ph level checking is necessary?

I definitely recommend checking the ph since niacinamide is ph sensitive. You can use this moisturizer day and night.

I made this but it’s not thickening up. How long do you mix?

I made this many times myself, 4 or 5 times and it didn't thicken up. Finally decided to mix it longer and it worked. I mixed this way longer than any other emulsion that I have made before it thickened.
