So we have the shield, sword and now the scabbard. The scabbard template is still in beta but if you are desperate to get going I will upload what I have ready so far. Also I will list many of the materials and tools that I used. Surprisingly it did not take much CA glue to make this scabbard. Only about 1/3 of that tiny bottle. The scabbard is from the Skyward Sword Zelda video game. I will also upload plans for the Twilight princess scabbard. It's too different, just curvy and less like a Lockheed Nighthawk.

For the Brass Work detail, you may find a material called Worbla super useful. It's not too expensive and super easy to work with, you just need a heat gun. It acts like a plastic once cool, put when heated, it becomes more like a clay, and is super useful for fine detail work on pieces like these! I'd highly recommend investing in it!

Great video! I'm planning on making something similar for my younger brother, and learned a few techniques from this. A little tip to help the CA glue (super glue) dry: Use CA glue activator spray. It'll make it stick immediately, and make putting those small pieces on a lot easier and faster.

Hey Atom, I'm making the Lokomo sword from Spirit Tracks, but since I don't have every power tool in my arsenal I'm thinking of making it modularly: cut out the blade, then the guard design, then the handle then the pommel. what would you recommend I do so I can have a stable sword and not have it fall apart? thanks

I will post both templates. Private message me your address and I will mail you some of the aluminum, cloth and possibly tacks if they come. I will have extra. That way it will save you a little $ when you make yours.

HappyAtom if you you use a vector cut it will at very least engrave it quicker because it will not do the side to side motion it will follow the line but normally the line needs to be a hairline thick for it to do a vector cut (at least the is how my machine works)
