    Thanks! Valerian tea: a bit drowsy/tired or when I take more then usual: stomach aches and not easy to sleep. Dried lavender buds tea: like I took some weed. Really sleepy/drowsy. Maybe a teaspoon is to much for me? My brain seems to be wired to over reacting to some state altering herbs. For example: Rosemary, feels like I drank coffee.

    Hiiiiii! I just started researching about making teas as i'd like to switch to teas from instant coffee. I was wondering if there is some subtle taste you'd get if you use stainless utensils in steeping your tea?

  • @trigardening

    @trigardening

    7 ай бұрын

    Howdy! There might be a taste different depending on the herb. There are plenty of ways to steep tea so try other methods if you notice an unappealing flavor. ( Individuals tea bags for instance). If you choose to go stainless steel, choose a steeper from a quality source which could mitigate some problems. But I will say I haven't had much of a problem with this. Hope that helps! Let me know how its going for you.

    Here is the tea pot that I have (and really like btw). Comes with a strainer. I recommend getting this one and you should be good to go if you already have the lavender. www.amazon.com/Hiware-Stainless-Borosilicate-Stovetop-Blooming/dp/B00ZOLU1VI/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=glass%2Btea%2Bpot%2Bwith%2Binfuser%2Band%2Blid&qid=1660862162&sprefix=glass%2Btea%2Bpot%2B%2Caps%2C59&sr=8-1&th=1

    Im working on making some teas, for our family and for Christmas presents. Everything I'm using we grew on our farm. Is there any way to contact you to ask questions aside from the comments? I'm making lavender, dandelion, and spearmint. We have red clover, my wife's honey from her bees, and several other herbs we have grown.
