Not really. I could barely see what she was doing. They should have darker background and while she was making a round loop the camera should capture her hand movement and how the wire comes into a round shape. Try looking at other videos, I could clearly see what they were doing. This one? I can barley see anything.
Thank you soooo much for the "pinky" trick. I usually have trouble figuring how much to cut off to make loop. This will DEFINITELY help.

Great video, thanks very much and lots of appreciation! Just a comment that the ear hook can directly go into the single head pin loop which was already open. This way another open and close (on the ear hook wire) can be avoided. Obviously this wouldn't be easy for the multi head pins earring. Thanks again!

I really like your videos but we need more zoom when you made the loops. Thank you so much, and you make me like doing it too with my children. So, where can I find these beautiful beads which you are working with? God bless you.
Thank you. Background is great!!
Making jewelry is a very detailed craft and instructing with a camera, you MUST have a much closer view of what you are doing. I'm not a beginner and I was having a hard time with it.
its a nice video but you need to change the views and get closer to see what you are doing

do you know any shops in the UK that sell beads and beading items for quite cheap
Camera work could be much better...we need to see close up for every task you do. With the light colored bead mat and table, there is hardly any contrast between the wires, findings, and the mat -- they all blend together.

Susan Gage I agree, I could not see with the light background.
do u buy the ear wires or make those as well??
It is hard to see what you are doing your background light and your pad that you are working on are too bright including your shirt
what's the name of the beads that your wearing, what type if beads and did you make those...
Nice work, great presentation, thank you!
What sizes should we buy of headpins??

loving these videos, well done - ring is on left hand then shows on right hand which is confusing and distracting - but love the instruction :) so for the 3 beads per earring, could you put the wire through each beaded wire loop then close with a crimp bead?
@JewellersAcademy
11 ай бұрын
Hey Kalinda, Thank you for your comment and advice regarding the ring. You can absolutely change the to suit your own design x
I have noticed that in the USA it is taught to open loops and jump rings sideways, as in turn it to the side, and the UK seems to do it by pulling one side away from the other. As you do. Have you had any issues with your loops or jump rings or findings loosing their shape because of the way you open them? I love your channel! ❤

Rosemary Lincoln just can't see what' she's doing, that's all
Is there a reason why you don't just leave the earhook's loop closed and instead hook the end loop of the head pin wire (while it's still open) on the earhook's loop, and then close it once it's hooked on? That was a messy sentence but I'm not sure how else to convey what I'm trying to say... But it seems like it would save a step?
@avgic4136
6 жыл бұрын
I was wondwering the same. You can just leave the headpin's loop open and close it after you hook it on the earhook. I don't know if there's a reason why she did it like that. If there is, can someone explain?
@tericamejias7921
6 жыл бұрын
In my experience, the headpin loops usually comes out neater when you do it the way she does
I think the white mat on the table also hinders us from seeing clearly what is happening. Very good videos though, very clear description. Thank you.
Is it possible to add the drop to the ear wire before closing the loop on the drop?
@JewellersAcademy
8 жыл бұрын
+Kayenne54 Yes you can do, although it can be best to close the loop first to ensure it is a nice full circle and then open a little to attach. But if it is easier for you to create the loop and attach at the same time that works too. Jessica x

Take a look at our recommended suppliers list here www.jewellersacademy.com/jewellery-supplies Lots of great supplies here x
I couldn't see what you were doing as the color of the mat blended in with the jewelry wires. Also, it didn't help that the camera guy didn't zoom in on you creating the loops.
What do you use to keep the headpin loop closed from unravelling if it gets accidentally caught, like in your hair or clothing? I thought about soldering it, but I'm worried about getting burnt (i'm quite clumsy). I also thought about gluing them but I'm allergic to superglue. Can you recommend another type of glue or some other way to keep that loop closed? Thank you!
Where do I buy the ready made stuff like the headpins or ear wires?

I didn't get to see how you made the other earrings with the 3 short dangle wires. Also, I would've like to see up close how your 3 different size dangling earrings that you made in this video turned out. Otherwise, just watching I do feel more confident that I can make these earrings.
@JewellersAcademy

+caroline sloan Thanks for the feedback caroline and glad you feel more confident after watching the videos. With the dangle earrings it is the exact same process you just make three pieces with headpins and a bead and then attach all three to to the loop at the top. I might do another video for this to show some more close ups soon. In the meantime, good luck and happy making :-)
