As someone who has DJed jersey club at clubs in Japan and Korea, I need to sit and watch this to get my own tracks in my mixes. I have become friends with some heavy hitters in the genre, but would feel super weird asking them about their production tips, so this will be a good head start!

You’ve stumbled upon the perfect tutorial! I think sampling heavy producers like Jersey Club guys don’t wanna share videos of their studio workflows because chopping up pre-existing audio doesn’t appear as cool, original, or creative compared to synth/instrument based genres. As you can see, there’s very little sound design magic or technical mysteries in Jersey club production. The trick lies mostly within your ear and personal taste in sample selection. That’s just my theory 🤷🏼♂️

@@ReidStefanMusic This absolutely makes sense to me as well. Also, it is hard to make a tutorial for it if you keep getting copyright strikes for sampling more popular media. I am halfway through, and already inspired to try my hands on it soon. I personally make music without samples, despite DJing heavily sample-based music (Jersey and juke), but I need to actually get my hands dirty and make tracks. Thanks again for this!

Great video bro, but how did you put mastering chain without doing gain staging? tracks are clipping on the master meter, the sound is very powerful I know but how does this works without turning down the levels of 808s and kicks, could you please explain?

@@kweenslvt3911I feel a lot of creators lately are behaving like the mainstream news by actively looking for something to complain about, instead of making music on camera. It creates a false sense of drama for daily clicks, and inaccurate first impressions of software. As you can see, Ableton 12 beta works quite stable from start to finish. This screenflow was actually three hours edited down to a 1 hour lesson and there were zero issues
