This is simply amazing. Haven't played that much with CM, CSP and SOL for recent years, but driving out a mixture of classic V8 monsters at classic 1967 Le Mans, puring down in puddles, thunder lightning, sun glares, vaque and lightning car lights in HD mirrors while VR driving...feels pretty darn being back in the 60ies roars. Besides immediately after watching your vid finally acquired the full version of CM in order to setup full season competitions for classic sports car racing. For the time being running an endurance season of early sixties sports cars "Classic Italians vs Americans Series" at classic venues. Racing the very handfull of the georgious but challenging Bizzarrini 5300 GT (an American-Italian match made in heaven itself!) vs. Ferrari 250GTO's vs. Shelby Daytona Coupe's vs. sixties Shelby Mustangs, editing grid to the real 60ies Italian and American sports car driver heroes' names (luckily CrewChief 1st and 2nd race engineers get most of the famous driver names right, when just hunting the right classic skins including original driver names of the famous venues of the time, but think I'll take a deeper look into CC for further possibilities here). At classic venues of early sixties track mod versions of Sebring, Stardust, Watkins Glen, Daytona RC, Elkhart Lake, Road Atlanta, Bridgehampton, Monza, Siracusa, Gran Premio Napoli (ok, it's the 1934-57 version, in order to have an Italian "Monaco-version" on the calendar), Pescara (miss a fully refined AC mod version here, though), and, ofourse, latest Abullz' Targa Florio for 'Il Gran Finale'. Using the CM Plus' feature of accelerated time to get the around the 24 hour clock, for every venue of 1-4 hours immensely joy of classic sports car endurance racing, in all kind of weather conditions on the long runs. Setting my rig up for classic sports car racing, and VR racing it all (now with decent PC/VR hardware), it's simply a thrill beoyond explanation. Edit: Only issue; cannot really leave my simrig now! 😁

Thanks bro, so easy to follow. And RainFx add so much to Assetto Corsa with the physics...

5:15 nice realistic flat spots on the tyres... Exactly what you get when the tyres cant grip the track. Loving how realistic PC sim racing is.

This rain effect looks better than in any other game or sim.

Rain takes time to accumulate if you don’t use debugging. Some track mods also don’t have RainFX support, but the vast majority of new mods, higher quality older ones, and Kunos tracks do

@Luke Montgomey I would love to do a remake of the Le Man's 66 race with the rain they experienced and the day bight cycle. I have the Le Man's track and even have it set up too start the race the way they did but I need a full list of all cars and models that I can get on RD so a lot of searching I guess lol

Great tutorial, the one thing I’m struggling with is that my car doesn’t reflect on the ground. I’ve looked everywhere for a solution and all I’ve seen is that you have to turn motion blur off in assetto video settings and then make sure sslr is on in csp settings and I’ve done that but still nothing. Was wondering if you or anyone who reads this has any other ideas. Thanks for reading and keep up the good work!

Thanks for the video! To get the puddles and wet track I have to go to weatherfx debug and debug rain... every single time. Is there a way around this? I also can only change the rain amount, wetness, and puddles through weatherfx debug and not through sol planner 2.2.

How do you use free camera when in replay mode? Btw using the 'extended physics experimental' I heard it make you slip and slide too much, also the rain tires are only available for cars that support it.. If you are using experimental and sliding too much you might wanna tweak with the stability control and I have seen people tweak the rain weather debug tool for while driving with cars that only have slick tires especially and want to use experimental extended physics..

I've paid for csp and installed the 1.80 preview in content manager but the latest that shows up is 1.79. Also the sol panner 2.0 doesn't show up in game. Can anyone help please?

Hi, i have the latest version of the mod and i don't even see the rain fx menu in the settings

How to enable Drops on screen? It's turned on in the settings and also in the config file :| help

I have a problem with rain fx… the drops are not moving on the windscreen when I turn the car, like when you turn right the drops go left. The drops seem to just fall normally on the windscreen. Is there a fix for this?

Some tracks don’t have RainFX, so on especially some older tracks there won’t be any puddles

Anyone know why some textures go red when it rains?

i downloaded this and now it wont let me load shutoku even if i have rain off. it loads for a couple minutes then goes black and crashes and gives me a message saying it might have something to do with game render please help

So i got it to work before with the rain and all but now i dont see any anymore for some reason

I've done everything right, all apps are turned on, but in-game when i go to the right hand side menu, the SOL Planner is not an app option. However, the debugs do show up. Any fixes to get the apps i need to show up? I have done everything...

Thanks for the tutorial. I have recently installed CM + CSP 0.1.79 but I have a problem, in the custom championships I don't have the wet tires available, while in the other modes (for example practice or race) everything is ok and I can select them. I have tried different cars, different tracks and there never are. Is it a problem with the mod or am I doing something wrong? Thank's :)
