The headline says 2 kilowatts, but that's false. It would have to draw 250 amps at 12VDC and the poor quality solder joints and thin wires would melt with that much current.

@@davidlecompte9467 It's clear from looking at the schematic that the secondary greatly boosts the voltage so the actual delivered power is unknown unless we built it or model in LTspice. Each of the transistors can go up to 55 V at 49 Amps which is about 2700 Watts max, if 50 percent derating is used on the voltage for two transistors. So the circuit is capable of delivering 2000 W of power inductively through about 50 Volts total secondary voltage (line-to-line, 25 V line to ground) at 20 Amps, assuming the wires on the secondary can handle 20 Amps. I'm guessing they can? They look like house wiring diameter, approximately.

Ну да,ну да..2 кВт.КПД индуктора на высокодобротном контуре будет низким-около 20% и при отсутствии металла внутри индуктора(ничем не охлаждаемого кстати) все будет печально.Физику обмануть сложно но автор смог.Ватт 70 выдавил,не больше.

Поставить бы ваттметр на входе, вопросов и сомнений убавилось бы до минимума. В очень простых схемах очень легко и просто сжечь не простые дорогие транзисторы!

2кВт должно быть на выходе, а не потребление. Там нет такой мощности. Вообще индукционную катушку стоило делать из полой трубки, и через нее пускать воду, да и вообще толк от его приблуды мал. Ведь нагрев до красна недостаточен, он должен греть до бела. Максимум, для чего можно применить данную сборку - спайка медных трубок, только располагать катушку вертикально

so i know the coil isn't suppose to 'get hot' but the little kit i purchased it definitely got to 250F when left idle. is that to be expected? mine is a 5v-12v kit from the iNtErNeT

Всегда удивляет , с какого вы потолка берёте все эти приставки , по типу 2kw, 1,5kw, 3kw и т.д. ????????? Эта схема с таким набором компонентов даже при напряжении 24в. Отдаст в нагрузку 200-250 вт.и то это предел , провода попросту поплавяться с таким то сечением, неговоря уже про питание 12вольт!!!!!

Вообще по всем расчетам схема даёт строгие 120.3 В, ни больше, ни меньше. Сразу видно делитанта хех

Just came across your video. I am surprise to see your using only one toroid and your not center tape on the work coil. I can see that the LC tank is not directly connected to the VCC. The toroide seems to be acting more like a transformer than a choke since the tank is not directly connected to the VCC can you give me a reference in the literature showing me the workings of the toroide in this circuit. Mille merci. A+. Bon travail.

Two pieces of MOSFET transistor FGH40N60 d provided the other required parts and I acted according to the same video. But the heater I made did not work and no heat was generated. I wanted to know if it was possible for me to use a positive or negative MOSFET transistor by mistake?

The capacitors in conjunction with the main coil sets the frequency as an LC tank circuit

Does not work. Only when I wound the coil did I wind 9 turns on one and the other side, on a firite core. If you can tell me why.

First mistake - no heatsink paste under the IGBT's.....
