Fantastic job showing the process. The end result came out stunning
Wow, this looks amazing, I also really like the commentary- it's straight to the point!

Hey man, really loved ur tutorial videos. Having been watching them for a while. I amd very much inspired by the stylized look you got in marmoset and would like to play around with some of my 3d models too in tht look. Can you make a video showing the full process of your set up in marmoset since ig thats the only part missing a dedicated video. Thanks in advance and keep going😃👍
could you do a tutorial on how to get that outline shader for marmoset toolbag? it would be very much appreciated!
how did you get that toon shaded outline look? amazing work btw, such a gorgeous end result
Would love a more in depth video of the processes here! Looks amazing.

I do have another more recent one with more info in it from the process start to finish!
Amazing, how did you realized the outline?
Hey Jared ! This is pretty cool work , I am pretty interested in the way you tackle around the Painter side of things , it would be really helpful if you could do an indepth video of the same . Besides that can you also please make a video showing the whole pipeline process . It would be very helpful for beginners like me to learn from you . Thanks 😄

Your art is AMAZING!! Could you talk about how you created the outline shader in marmoset?

Thanks so much! Ya the out line is the model duplicated and normals flipped inside out. The shader is just an unlit black!

@@jchave7 Is it just that? Because I duplicated the model and applied the shader and nothing happens. Do you invert normals in marmoset or in other software? Thank you for the awesome video!
i have no idea how you did the aO in painter it was so fast over it like was it a generator a black mask how was it added?
How did you achieve this cartoon rendering effect in the marmoset renderer, is there a video about it?
Amazing video mate, would love to dive deep into how do you understand different forms? I struggle with that a lot. Cheers😊

Amazing! Can I ask what is the shortcut for the color picker for the handpainted layer? Absolutely stunning. And super usefull! Thanks and congrats!

Ya definitely, I believe it should be p on the keyboard.
hello, I have seen your video and I love it, but I have had problems trying to replicate the outline, I know that you invert the normals but it still doesn't work, they appear as squares in raytracing, but when I deactivate it, they look good. Could you help me please?
Hey Jared, thanks for sharing your process! Super cool! I saw that when you paint you blur the stroke after, kind of like you can in zbrush with shift. How are you doing that in substance?
@jchave7
Жыл бұрын
Hey, thank you! Most of that is just by constantly color picking. I tend to color pick around the edges if stokes to capture the transition color between what I paint and what was already there! Hope that helps!
Wow, not a giant fan of gore, but this looks phenomenal, great job! Hope this blows up soon

What a good video! But i have a question... How do you do the outline in marmoset with the raytrace mode on? can you explain that or so a video about that? Thank you :)
@jchave7
Жыл бұрын
Ya sure, the outline is the model scaled up and with inverted normals!
I love the video thank you for sharing it!!! Hey I don't know much about marmoset but I wanted to ask you how do you make that program look like the border line of the model, it is very cartoonish and looks great. Is it a plugin? or do you activate something in the camera?
@jchave7
Жыл бұрын
It’s a combination of things. Some camera tricks and settings for the shader. The outline is a second model.
Hi, Great work! May I ask how did you make the toon shader effect on Marmoset Toolbag? The outlines.
@jchave7
Жыл бұрын
It’s just a second model with a unlit shader
Looks pretty nice :) I have one question. Ingurss the sculpt was high poly, did you retopology befor going into substance? And did you UV unwrap before going to Substance? 🙏

Second model
hey I have a question. There's a 'New' brush blending mode in painter, called lighten. It's supposed to mimic photoshop. Have you looked into it? there's a brush called 'basic hard pressure' which is using it. What's your opinion on it?

I actually just found this setting the other day. I think it has its uses. Has some nice build up to it. I probabaly need to practice more with it but I like the feeling it has especially on hand painted stuff like this

@@jchave7 ah great great.. I was thinking since 3D coat is a king of hand painted, this 'new' setting will come close it it, yet nobody uses it
i have a question about this program substance, so im on blender unfortunately, do i still need too make a uv map? or how does this work exactly? do you paint straight on the mesh? im a beginner so if you could please explain in a way i can understand how too use this id be really grateful
@jchave7

Yes you make UVs in your mesh and paint directly on the model
Hey man I hope you are doing good I have a question how did you do the outline in marmoset toolbag?

Glad you were able to find the answer. It’s just a duplicated mesh and inverted face normals.
You sick man !!!! Btw if i can draw can i teach and make things like this ?

Ya, you don’t need to know how to draw to do 3d but you should know the fundamentals of art.

I'm trying to learn actual from-scratch material painting, and I gotta say the fact that 1/3 of this video shows him actually painting on the model (and not just parametrically texturing the entire thing) makes it the most 'hand painted' thing I've seen on SP.
Wooow ! i absolutely love your hand painted technic.
