I made this recipe exactly how it was laid out and it turned out perfect. Just the right amount of sweetness and the green tea flavour is very prominent. :) I made it as a valentine's day treat for my boyfriend - I'm sure he'll love it as much as I do.
Beautiful! I can’t wait to try this matcha chocolate! Thank you!
I'm so going to use this on my marbled green tea petit fours. Thank you for the awesome recipe!

Wow! Namiko, thank you so much! I am making green tea chocolate as soon as possible (this week!). Also, you just gave me an excellent idea: matcha chocolate spread for breakfast!
I have a green tea obsession and I been baking for 9 years and let me just say these recipes are really well done and hope you keep baking
Really fantastic recipe, yet so simple! :) Thanks!
Oishiisou! This looks so good! Every year my mom has a holiday soup and dessert party and we try to have red, white and green foods. This would make a fantastic green dessert and I'm thinking of trying it w/ dried cranberry or strawberry powder as well for a "red" version.
Oh Really interesting! I love matcha and will try
Your recipe looks nice and easy to follow - can't wait to try it :D!!

Namiko Chen , merry christmas and thank you for your delicious japanese food recipe.
Unbelievable flavor !!! You are So kind and sweet to share this wonderful recipe. Great and simple. Thanks for making our families day brighter.
Put some strong flavor honey(multifloral) when you are mixing the chocolate. Thank me later.😋😋😋 And if the recipe isn't working(the chocolate doesn't harden) Apply 100gr more of white chocolate and 5gr of matcha powder and try again.

Of course it wouldnt harden. Chocolate is oil-base and honey is kind of a thick sugar syrup which doesnt have any oil in it. Basically these two things cant be combined together and thats why it didnt hard

oh jeez those are SPLENDID! I made some dear friends very happy, they're japan-holic and could not believe the taste of the matcha! on the procedure I must say I reversed it out of habit, and added cream and butter to the molten chocolate, but ack! it started to separate as the mixture got too hot! for a moment there I despaired, but luckily I cooled it in time an the result came out tasting perfect and with a good texture overall. thank you Namiko chen!
OMG. I can't wait try this! It sure must taste like heaven for a green tea lover like me :P

Looks sooo good! What matcha powder do you recommend? There's so many online idk which one to buy
I love my matcha!
That looks like quite a lot of matcha, especially sprinkled on at the end
I tried this recipe and it turned out almost perfectly!! My chocolate separated a bit, but I think that was my own fault for heating it too much. When I froze it, some of the oil came to the very top of the chocolate, but the rest beneath it was perfectly fine :)

jusT wow 💜👍
I went overboard and bought way to many bags of matcha. Your channel will help me get through this surplus.

Hello Nami I made two of your recipes last night. This one and the chicken wings nimono. I was ambitious! What a big hit my associates loved the chocolates!!! I had trouble all of the chocolate. I had used 3 1\2 bars. The bars are 4.4 oz. I had to use more cream. I'll send pictures later. I actually made the chocolates for some one special.

Hi Namiko, I love your recipes and I had tried out a few and they were very good indeed. I wonder whether you can do a CRISPY CREPE (Japanese/French) version using the iron cast. It has to be crispy and brown not those whitish soft crepe. Thank you !
yumm!!!

i like the classy, stylish look of the cubic peaces a lot. i guess one could go for a fancy "cute" look with funny latex ice cube trays. (if the shapes are not too complex and the tray is nice and flexible, they ought to be removable..) anyways, this looks like a great 手みあげ for lovers of japanese style food!

This looks lovely, and I love nama chocolate! I prefer milk tea chocolate to green tea chocolate though. Do your know if there is an equivalent form of of powdered black tea that would work though?

Hey, I was wondering if there was a way to store the chocolate without a fridge? Because it's too sweet when it's at room temperature and I would like to give it to people. ALSO thanks soo much for the recipe !!! It tastes just like the chocolate from Japan I got and made me super happy cause I was missing it. THANK YOU
This recipe looks so easy! I want to try it for valentines day but can I pour the mixture in heart shaped moulds instead?
Can I have a brand of the matcha powder? Thank you for the recipe xD
