How To Make Free Drip Irrigation Out of Bamboo!!

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

We recently built a covered growhouse in Hawai'i but were left with wondering how to irrigate it. We thought about going to hardware store and paying over $100 for all of the drip supplies. But I hate paying for things if I can make them.
So we came up with Bamboo Drip irrigation. A couple hours later and a few knicks on the hand from the carving knife and we made it happen. 100% free homemade drip irrigation that won't pollute.
Watch this short video on how it can be done. Aloha!!

It's a pretty simple build. Just some Ohia Logs on the four corners, some header wood, bracing and a roof framed on top to hold it all together, Then I added an old security door I had onto it. But I could try get it in a video in more detail.

I love your greenhouse and bamboo irrigation system!! Your plants are so healthy! The greenhouse is all screened in? I completely understand given rat lung and pests with ferocious appetites. May I ask how are the pollinators able to access your tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, etc?

Am attempting to determine the best kind of bamboo to use for this kind of application, as well as a supplier. In the past, I was able to order 3" diameter bamboo for another project from Ace Hardware, but that is no longer an option.

Tought the same thing, it could be better I think if it was bellow ground and not cut, so there is no evaporation and the plant gets more water out of less water. Great stuff, thanks !
