01:00 Step One: Lay one piece of your fleece fabric out in an open area so you can move around it. Place your second layer on top of and make sure you stretch it out so there are no lumps or "bubbles" in the fabric.
02:34 Step Two: I like to cut about an inch off of all the edges so that I am not working with any seams on the fabric.
03:07 Step Three: Start in one corner and cut between two to three-inch strips in the fabric, spacing them between 2 to 4 inches apart. This spacing is completely up to your preference. I like to cut between 10 and 15 strips at a time so I can sit and tie the fleece without moving back and forth.
03:45 Step Four: Tie your fleece strips into a double knot. If you want to have reversed fray on each side, make sure you are pulling the lower fabric around your while you are knotting (you can see this technique in our How to Make a Fleece Cut and Tie Blanket)
04:57 Step Five: As you round the corners, work a foot or two ahead and then you will notice the blanket starts to bunch up, for this part you have to stretch and pull the last are tied. You will hear what sounds like a ripping noise, but do not worry - this is normal! You will repeat this on all the corners. You should also have a long strip on each corner, you can cut this piece off.

The reason your blanket is puckering in the corners is because you need to cut out a square, about the same depth and width as you are making your cuts. Try it!

Yep!!!! Probably the most basic aspect of doing these blankets is cutting the square out of each corner first 👍

Thank you!
Did you check that you have right sides out. I don't think so.😢
Thank You so much for sharing this video. I have never heard about these blankets. My husband's mom just told me about them, & showed me how to make it. She cut the corners on each side.... She said you can tie it different ways. How much can you sell them for
I see she didn't cut the square shape out of the corners but I all going to try her suggestion instead. I always seem tomess up the corner square cut.

Thank you for the tip!
I k ow this is an old video. But I wanted to say, cut off the corners and then you won't have that problem you're having with the corners. The length of your tassel strips, cut that much off each corner. So if you are making 6 inch strips, cut a 6 inch block off of each corner.

Good tip!
Hi I have a question. Could you use fleece throw blankets from walmart that are only like five bucks.

Heck yea!
Cut a square out in each corner and it won’t pucker at all. Now you don’t have to rip the fabric. That made me cringe! Yikes!
Stop yapping and get to the point😂😂😂😂😂
Does fleece make for a good skeet blanket?
