Thanks for making this video! If this was your first time doing a project like this, in retrospect, is there anything that you would do differently the next time? I know that sometimes we often think afterwards, “man, I should’ve done this, or changed that!”. You did a great job and I really enjoyed the process!

  • @TheInkhousecustoms

@Greg Whaley yeah was the first time building a custom wheel, but me being a artist first and a car guy after, iv taken on plenty of projects that was basically the same concept. There are plenty of ways to approach this type of project. Would I change how iv done it 🤔 NOPE! Would I try another method in the future 🤔 MAYBE! I myself was looking for some type of video on youtube about making wheels and some was just basic wooden wheel or with a process so technical makes you think twice about doing it. So this was bare bone understanding of how to accomplish something like this. Thanks for the comment 👍🏽 I appreciate it!! 💯

This is amazing brotha, just curious what did you use in the beginning of the video before you put the carbon on? You brushed on what I assume is epoxy resin and hardner and let it get sticky before you put the fabric on? How long did you wait for it to get sticky?

@Young Fue its epoxy, takes about 2hrs to get tacky, wait till the epoxy gets firm with no stringing. A firm tack.

@@TheInkhousecustoms is it the epoxy resin and hardner mixed together or just the resin by itself? I have just subbed and hit the bell right now 🙌🏽

The epoxy will never get hard without the hardener.. you must mix both resin and hardener, most hobbie epoxy's are mixed 1:1. Make sure to mix with the ratio your epoxy is set to. The epoxy I used is for lamination so it mixed 1:1.

The only parts that take long, are the wait times in between epoxy coats, it took me about 5 days to complete.
