You could make a dish out of the fabric to display also. Use the fabric stiff liquid the same way and the place over a bowl or small plate for the shape. Then, remove it when dry. Just a thought.

Also, I wonder if I could make them out of gum paste or fondant. I don’t have clay but I’m a pastry chef and have plenty of the others. Thanks for this tutorial because I’m gonna attempt it and see how they look!!!!

If you want to seal them, it might be a good idea to seal them with resin or modge podge.

In a pinch....you can use white school glue to "harden" the doily. Possibility that it will turn yellow over the years. We used sugar & water also..... Showing my age huh?

I really enjoy your video but I recommend you could use a tripod for video taking, that would free both your hands and have a better tutorial :) Really love everything you made for your daughter!
